For AIWB, I like the Blue Alpha Gear "low-profile" belt. Everything else I use Hanks (think I have 5 now from the LTP offerings).

Sorry for not getting back to this thread, wife just lost her job recently and just havent had much time to spare and with all the stress of my wife now being unemployed, so my apologies for not responding back.
I have been eyeballing those Hanks belts as those are pretty much more my style of a belt I wear every day. They are reasonably priced on Amazon and look great. Do the Hanks belt sag at all or are they pretty solid and prevent the firearm from leaning away from the body as I carry a smaller firearm, a G19 and G30. Also like the hard rigid nylon belt that 5.11 has on Amazon for like $39 I think the price was. But again, I dont want the sagging or leaning away from my body as it tends to print if it does that depending on what I wear. I'm usually wearing a dark colored size XL plaid shirt so you really cant tell that there is even a gun on my hip. But am guessing I will more then likely just go with the Hanks belt. Thanks for all the responses but keep the recommendations coming as maybe someone else might be wondering the same about belts. Thanks again... |

My Hanks is the stitched Gunner model, the skinniest one they make at about 1/4" thick. It doesn't sag under the weight of my Glock 29 in a White Hat IWB holster. It is very stiff, you don't want to step on this thing while it is laying in a loop edge up on the floor. It will probably break your ankle. I can't tell you if the front will roll under a manly belly as I am still working on mine As far as printing, I think this is a function of the buckle, the gun's size, the holster and where it is on the belt. I used to carry my G29 appendix IWB but the bulk of the buckle and the gun/holster combo just stuck out there (this is true on my other gun belt as well, a 5.11 friction belt). So I carry it near my hip and printing is disrupted by the presence of my arms and elbows blocking an observer's view.

i have a Klik belt that i really like. the only issue i have is i need to tighten it maybe once or twice during the day as it loosens a bit. i have seen other belts that have velcro and i'm sure that would fix it but i purposely didn't want to use velcro on my edc belt to not draw attention to myself.

I've had a lot of belts -- Brommeland leather, a bunch of riggers/instructor belts, etc. The absolute best was the Frank Proctor Covert Belt. I'm about to buy another one because I gifted mine on a trip, then cheaped out and replaced it with the Blue Alpha Gear low-profile belt. The Proctor belt is just set up right and has some nice features like a hidden stash pocket and elastic bits to hold a couple magazines. It was my EDC for five years and I've also used it in classes carrying a full-size, four magazines and a light. Strange how much of a difference there can be between belts, but Proctor nailed it IMO. https://troyind.com/partners/way-gun

I went ahead and ordered one based on feedback here and it's been great to be able to make those small adjustments on the fly quickly. It's been able to handle a P229 just fine. How long will the ratchet action hold up over time until a new one is needed is my only question, time will tell.

I have this same belt. IWB Glock 36, I have been wearing with slacks everyday for 9 months. Buckle scratched, ratchet works great with no signs of giving up. Belt is starting to break down a little bit in a few small little spots. You can reorder belt separate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’ve used belts from Daltech, Hank and Vedder for the last 10 years or so.
I like Vedder belts a lot, fine leather with double stitching. Got ratchet belts from Nextbelt during Black Friday last year, quite expensive, I have been wearing them for couple months. I must say that I am sold on these. They’re thin, light but very stiff. I’ve carried G19 with Standard Cap. Mags, G20, Sig 229, Springfield 1911 and they held up pretty nicely. Going to buy a few more when Xmas comes around this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I ended up buying the Hanks belt awhile back. Was very impressed with it and I also bought one very similar to the one pictured above a couple posts. Both great belts for my Aliengear holster. You guy were all a great help, thanks so much.

Those of you with the Kore or Nexbelt, how bulky is the buckle? Does it print, or get in the way? One issue I have with big buckles like the cobra buckles, is that they sometimes jab my gut when I sit down since I rotate the buckle to the left side as I carry appendix.

I'm surprised the Magpul Tejas belts get no love here. I've owned it for a few years and it's holding up great. My Wilderness Tactical is probably about 10 years old and is worth every penny I spent. Best two belts I currently own.

no good belt can hold up to this and suspenders will further mess up your spine just as your gut is.

I just replaced my 7 year old Wilderness Tactical 5 stitch with a Grip6 Workbelt. I found that I rarely needed the stiffness of the Wilderness Tactical (Shield appendix carry) and it was too bulky under my hunting pack.
I really like that there is no velcro to wear out or ratcheting buckles to slip/tear. My NextBelt failed twice while carrying, not the ratchet part but the other end where the teeth bite into to the belt ripped out when tightened. https://grip6.com/collections/top-se...31328535183434 Last edited by spegull03; 04-17-2020 at 8:01 AM.. |

Beltman belts are great. https://www.thebeltman.net/ I have had one for more than 8 years. Wore it everyday to work even in a seriously lubricating oil covered area. With the oil soaking, it has become pretty supple length-wise, but is still stiff enough crossways to support a full-size 1911 without issue. I now have three of these. A second brown one (the oil has darkened the look of the first one) and a black one. None of them have the optional polymer stiffener. Great stuff and quick response.

I picked up a Nexbelt the other day and like it a lot so far. I've been carrying my full-size CZ around my property while on lockdown and it supports it well, so it should be great with a more CCW-appropriate gun. I got one of the nylon ones but they make leather versions with a buckle that does a really good job of hiding the fact that it's a ratchet belt.
