the .450bm, .458 socom, and the 50bw would all be in the "big bore" Ar catigory.

My new SPR! A friend with a Noveske/WOA SPR inspired this rifle. All the of the great looking rifles here inspired the photos.

Quite simply, I LOVE this rifle. It cost a bunch of money but I know I will enjoy it the most out of all my ARs.

Here are the specs:

LaRue Stealth Sniper System upper comprised of:
  • LaRue billet upper receiver
  • 18" LaRue/Lothar-Walther 1:8 stainless barrel
  • Smith Industries Vortex
  • LaRue 13.2 rail
  • LaRue M16 FA BCG
  • Double Star lower receiver
  • Leupold Mark 4 3-9x36 mil-dot reticle with M1 turrets on a LaRue LT-104 SPR mount
  • Magpul ACS stock with Magpul Enhanced Pad
  • Magpul MOE pistol grip with MOE trigger guard
  • Harris BRM-S mounted on a GG&G bipod adaptor
  • Troy rail panels
  • BUIS to come

Sorry for the messy desk, just a quick iPhone snap. This is my first AR, and I put most of my money into this build. LWRC M6A3 DMR /w Leupold MK4 1.5-5 and LaRue RISER / POD.

Superior barrels 18" 1/7 twist Douglas barrel. It isn't stainless but it has been "ion bound" or as they call it "super blued". It shoots anything heavy great. I hand load 77gr sierra's and noslers for it and it will shoot sub moa groups. It also likes pmc x-tac, not nearly as good as groups as the 77's but I have no problem nailing steel at 600yrds with it.

Here's the closest thing I have to a SPR:

Sabre Defence 1:8 410SS SPR Barrel
Scope is a Leupold VX-R Patrol 1.25-4x with .1mil/.1mil adjustments.

Nice SAM-R Gatdammit! One of these days I need to build one of those, or possibly an SDM-R. How much does yours weigh?

Default Latest incarnation of my SPR-ish build

I won't say this is the "final" version yet, but I think I've finally narrowed it down to a collection of parts that works as well or better than I need. I've gone through several different optics, muzzle devices, stocks, and bipods over the last year or so. I'm considering either a Magpul ACS or one of the new MAGS EFX-A1 stocks, but the rest of the build is pretty solid.

Upper:
- DPMS stainless 18" 5.56 MK-12 barrel, 1-8" twist.
- Stag upper receiver
- BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 Charging Handle
- Daniel Defense Bolt Carrier Assembly
- YHM Free Float Forearm
- YHM Gas Block/Hooded Front Sight
- YHM QDS Rear Sight
- American Defense "Recon" Mount, 30mm
- Leatherwood CMR 1-4X24
- SPR Clone brake from AKpartskits.com (Might swap for a real OPS Inc. ,but in CA there really isn't a point
- B&T Bipod (Awesome, and light)

Lower:
- RRA 2 Stage NM Trigger
- Magpul MIAD Grip with integral trigger guard
- DPMS A-2 Stock

Mod 0 uses a PRI Gen III Carbon Fiber free float tube with ARMS Swan Sleeve and ARMS QD scope rings. The Mod 1 uses a KAC M4 free float rail with a Larue SPR scope mount.

Default Done (I think)

Added the MAGS EFX-A1 stock. Awesome cheekweld compared to the A-2 stock, added about 1/2 pound to the rear of the rifle as well. The EFX stock is built like a tank

Just a quick tip: When the scope spans the gap between the upper receiver and the handgaurd it could experience damage from not being in alignment. Just because they look even does not mean they are on the same plane.

Sweet rifle though!
