Default If I can recall correctly

  • H&K VP70z (foolishly sold because the trigger was so atrocious. If I only had that now for collectors purposes).
  • Colt 1991A1
  • Browning HP
  • Colt Grizzley (didn't foolishly sell, and I'm keeping it!)
  • Ruger Bisley .22

Quite a few since then, but I believe those were the first five.

Springfield Loaded 1911
Springfield Compact XD9
Smith & Wesson 29-2 .44 Mag
Glock 41
Glock 30SF

But they were all lost in a terrible boating accident, except for the 30SF and 41 that somehow survived and are now for sale.....

These purchases span decades, then it all fell apart and I bought a crap top of other guns, but here are the first ones

Gen2 Glock 21 - couldn't shoot if for crap. Stopped shooting for over 10 years

CZ-75 SAO - did research on a 9mm, this one seemed to be the best shooting, best value

RIA Tactical .45 - because it's a 1911
Ruger 22/45 (used) - bought on a whim, it was on consignment when I went to the FFL to buy the RIA

Then I went to a few USPSA matches with the CZ75 and the RIA and decided to buy

CZ-75 SP-01 (used, tricked out ,from fellow USPSA shooter)

Then I went nuts and bought a bunch of other guns on whim, and the ending of SSE was eminent and that fueled the rush.

I know Lee Child doesn't actually know much about guns, but the Steyr GB always shows up in Jack Reacher stories. It's an interesting gun, I'd love to have one! How does it shoot (in another non-hijack thread)

I honestly don't remember either.

I bought and sold from other Marines. I remember a Raven 25 ACP and a WWII Remington Rand for $100. A S&W Model 19 four inch from a SSgt whose wife was expecting a baby.

The first new handgun I ever bought was a Browning Hi-Power (I still have it) from Fowler's Gun Shop on Rosemead Boulevard, a few years before it blew up killing four including the co-owner.

1. Glock 22 Gen 3
2. Walther P22
3. CZ 75 SP-01
4. Sig P320 Compact 9mm
5. Glock 19 Gen 3 ODG

I shoot the last 3 99% of the time. Prefer the p320 over the g19 due to the ergos. But I'm the most accurate with the CZ, who would've guessed? Really want to get a P-01 now but leaning towards a TRP.

I don't remember the 1st five but do remember the 1st four, which I bought/owned back in 1967-1968 (over 50 years ago):

1) 2" Charter Arms Undercover 38spc 5 round revolver
2) S&W Model 36 38spc 5 round revolver
3) S&W Model 19 38spc/357mag 6 round revolver
4) High Standard Victor 22LR Target Pistol
5) Could be any number of handguns that I owned at the time including but not limited to a Gold Gold Cup, S&W Model 41 or Colt Python.

All but the S&W Model 41 are LONG GONE and I don't miss any of those that are gone because there was a good reason (to me) why I sold them.

Most of my first five are gone... Let's see if I remember.. *not sure if the order is accurate - but close, I think

Sig P2002 - sold
HK USP 40 - have
Taurus 24/7 - sold
Beretta PX4 - sold
FMK 9C1 (the cool one with micro BOR on slide) - have
S&W M&P 45 - have
S&W M&P 40 (then 9 and 357 barrels / mags) - have
Sig P227 - sold
Sig P938 - sold, then re-bought in Free state
S&W Shield 9 - have
Another S&W Shield 9 - sold

I think k that's it for handguns...

So - for first five... I still have HK40c, and FMK...
The others are pawed by some other...I wonder how they're doing?...

ETA: I don't watch football anymore (five years clean) - but still anti Raiders and equally anti Glock... Never did, never will.
