It is legal so long as it does not also have a folding or telescoping stock.

(a) Notwithstanding Section 30510, “assault weapon” also means any of the following:

(6) A semiautomatic shotgun that has both of the following:
(A) A folding or telescoping stock.
(B) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or vertical handgrip.

The M4 civilian model has a pinned / fixed stock, and that makes it legal in CA.

Riflegear still at "more than 10". They've made Turner's look good for once, paid $1899 for mine. Although Sportsman's is apparently still $100 cheaper, when in stock .Turner's in San Bernardino also had an H20 model in stock today, for $2149!

At the time of the post, Sportsman’s Warehouse in Stockton has a M4 11707 in stock. It’s not with the other shotguns but is hanging near the pistols
