I meant to update as the draws came and went, but I was bummed by my string of five "unsuccessful" notices. #6 was drawn yesterday with results to be posted this Saturday. Fingers crossed!

If you email DFW and ask for the drawing statistics (how many people put in for each hunt), you probably won't be surprised at not being drawn. Those hunts generally have a high number of applicants. I am not trying to discourage you, but you might be interested. I looked into it on the elk hunts and was educated enough to redirect my funds elsewhere.

While odds are low, it can happen. A buddy of mine drew a bull elk SHARE tag this last fall and shot a monster a couple days in. If you want to try for California elk, it's about the only realistic way to go for it.

I'm new to this, I logged into the website w/ my GO ID and I don't see anywhere to get tags...

Go to "Purchase Licenses"

then "Hunting"

scroll down to "Drawings"

Only the ones still open will be shown.
