Default Has anyone successfully purchased a gun at Turner's with FED LIMITS APPLY DL?

I have read a few threads on this issue and still confused. Also got different answers from my local store staff.

Are you able to purchase a firearm from Turner's using the new non-real ID driver's license that has the words Federal Limits Apply?

Glad to see an FFL that knows the law!

I've made multiple purchases with my federal limits apply license. If an FFL won't then find a different FFL!

A simple question I have discussed with some FFL's is what documentation would a green card holder need today to buy a firearm? They can only have a federal limits apply license!

I used to be a green card holder and became a citizen last year so I'm well experienced in what what documentation is needed before and after becoming a citizen.

The federal limits apply license is 100% acceptable ID for buying a firearm.

If an ignorant FFL says otherwise it's not worth the argument but there are better FFL's like this one that will do your transaction.

Yes, however, the drivers license would still say federal limits apply.

They'll need to show a green card but it doesn't have an address, just the INS number, and photo.

Green card holders/permanent residence have same rights as citizens except cannot vote.

Our policy since mid-February has been as follows:
We will not accept an FLA license issued prior to Jan. 22, of 2018 since those were only issued to persons who could not document their lawful presence.
We will generally accept an FLA license issued on/after Jan. 22 but may need to ask customers additional questions depending their unique situation such as country of citizenship, etc.

This policy mimics what DOJ put forth to us in a letter they sent in May months after we had asked DOJ to rescind their prior guidance, which in turn was reliant on ATF guidance that was rescinded prior to the DOJ policy change.
Unfortunately, we are aware that some DOJ staff, many dealers, and even some in the 2A community relied on prior guidance with respect to FLA licenses- so much so that this issue continues to pop up even now.

I thought this had been cleared up awhile ago. I recently moved from
Ventura county down to Orange County. I went to a local guy down here
and after talking with him,I thought I was going t9 be locked up for having
a Federal Limits Apply license. Then I discovered EVERY other LGS I went to in this area would take that license including Turners.

Used one several times at Turners Corona, but I’ve since switched to Real ID to avoid any chance of push back
