Count me in. I've been reloading for about 9 months now. I've reloaded about 1000 9mm rounds and 200-300 38s. Still new to all of this and really interested in learning to reload rifle rounds too.

Would like to join class and bring friend who is not on Calgun's if that is Ok? I have stuff to start reloading match .308 with basically the lee setup in Randall's sticky. And friend has the same, been to a Calgun basic reloading class a few years ago, but that is the only experience I have.

I have updated the attendee workshop list and I think the workshop has all of the attendees that it can handle, but we still need experienced reloaders to help!

If you need anymore helpers I can step in. I've only been at it for about 6 months but know what I'm doing for the most part. I have a Dillon 650 but can't be moved.

No worries, I appreciate you providing a heads up so that someone else can attend.

I have updated the list of attendees in the first post.

Ill bring my lee ingot mold it has four slots: 2- 1/2lbs ingots and 2- 1lbs ingots. But i think we should wait to get deeper into casting. Some of the people are new to reloading and we dont want to confuse or overwelm them with info. With that being said ill bring some cast boolits and molds as well.

That is the whole point if this workshop. This is to allow those who have not gotten their feet wet a hands on opportunity. Why would you buy a car before test driving? Same idea with these classes and presses.

We are here to get more people into the enjoyment of reloading, and these classes are the best way to dive right in!

That is correct. We will have everything you need, including components, and will walk you through the process. Like Bumslie said, we want to get more people involved with the hobby.

Come with a willing attitude to learn and you will be all set!

With the casting, I was thinking about showing the process of making bullets. Making ingots is time consuming. I don't think time will allow the whole process. Just basic information.

I AM INTERESTED IN CASTING BULLETS, I TRIED RECENTLY BUT I WAS HAVING A LITTLE TROUBLE, I DONT THINK WE REALLY HAVE TO CAST IGNOTS BUT THE ACTUAL CASTING OF THE BULLETS IN THE MOLDS WOULD BE NICE, THATS MY OPINION THANKS I HOPE WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN

looking forward to this. I have done just a couple of single cartridges many years ago, along with a fair amount of shotgun shells, so I have the roughest of ideas how it all works. but more knowledge is more power, right?

I agree that it is probably not the best time or best place for that. As a reloading workshop it is prolly best served to stick with reloading mainly and if yall wanna cast some boolits then I will watch. I have seen my friend cast them but I do not really get interested in cast boolits yet. I will stand by as extra help if needed and a joke here and there.
like these that I casted today after work?

damn that looks like a lot... what is that? about 1500 .452 ?

ACTUALLY, to be completely honest, I just like to melt things down and destroy things so in this case since I am a hoarder, I just want to melt down lead and have some nice clean ingots that I can stack up on my bullet shelf. I have about 20 or so now, I just want another 50 or so so that I can have a cool display... Then, eventually when I NEED to reload and I can not find bullets, I will simply make my own.

I dunno what, but there is something sexy about that pot.

(the one with all the projectiles in it.) As a hoarder I think I must warn you that if you bring that pot to the workshop I might have to leave early with bulging pockets...

And I do not even load for that yet...

Lets get together an Intro to Reloading party for the Bay Area. This is one of the many great things about CalGuns.net! Way to go Inland Empire folks.

Uhhh, I hope that entire post is not your sig line... and the only text you typed was the first sentence. If you look at some of the other sub forums there might be something for bay area. I know there is for Assaulted, and I think for some of these new reloading workshops as well. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that English is not your strongest attribute or that this post was made by an over zealous go2A-bot programmed by the antis and tested out here...

omg I just got a great idea to post in OT. This gonna be funny...

Thank you to everyone that attended the workshop on Saturday, we had a great turnout! I hope that all attendees got something out of the workshop.

I would also like to thank everyone that donated to the workshop. We had people donate case trimmers, dies, bullets, brass.

Here are a few pics from the workshop:

It was held in Riverside near Lake Matthews. We are working on getting a date and topic set for the next workshop.

Is there interest in another beginners workshop?
