Rebarreled a Polytech
I have a Polytech M14S that had previously been rebarreled with a Springfield medium weight barrel. Since Numrich currently has a bunch of chrome lined barrels made for LRB by Criterion, I decided to go with a lighter, shorter barrel, and priced at a very good price..
So, I ordered one of their 18 1/2" standard profile barrels. After getting it mounted, I cut ventilation slots in a Sarco walnut handguard. I may need to go to a taller from sight, since the shorter barrels often require one. But that's going to wait until after test firing. Last edited by Sailormilan2; 07-31-2021 at 4:29 AM.. |

Imo, much nicer and should be a better shooter than anything the new Springfield has put together. My Polytech definitely is.

It's the standard Chinese faux flash hider. I have a Springfield brake on another short barreled M-14, and took it off after about 5 shots. Way too loud.

Coast Guard brake? Mine is loud as hell but I like feeling the shockwave.
