The 22 version of the MP5 without the long fake suppressor looks like the HK94.

You can then make it look like the HK94 SG1 which wasn't suppressed but rare to find.

IMO the fake suppressors which everyone knows are fake just detract from the cleaner lines. Then again, its an MP5 look alike in 22 so its all just for fun anyway.

When I bought mine awhile ago it comes with a spud looking wrench with two studs that catch the two holes in the fake can. I can't remember if I even needed it. If I recall correct it came off with just hand turning.

Good video. Here is one that shows the receiver/bolt being taken down.

I would note that his method for removing the spring plug could probably be improved. I would try and gather up and compress the spring forward via the slot in the top of the receiver, then insert something to capture it while I remove the spring plug. Less chance of things flying off into the ether that way...

No, I have alerts set in the places I see that carry them, but haven't received any alerts at all.

Really happy to be able to complete the collection. Can confirm that the quality of the new one is on par with the Walther ones from a couple of years ago.

I got the A5 model, why must I be shown this!? Now I’m looking at the SD version more intently with a high chance of acquisition

I might do the same, the others I saw waiting on stock are still $30, so that is a tolerable price.

Appears HKParts processes fairly quickly. Ordered yesterday and it’s on its way from Utah today. With some luck I get my rifle out of jail on Thanksgiving, so Black Friday = Range Day.

Good to hear. I just ordered a couple of the mags as well. I'm super excited to use it in my next rimfire match.

Took mine out to the range the other day and ran just fine shooting Remington Golden Bullets and CCI Standard. I have a PTR 9R so I'm used to the A2 stock which is much more comfortable to shoot than the A3 (although the A3 looks so much cooler haha) I think eventually I'll try to find a way to mount a red dot to make the shooting experience more enjoyable than the irons even though I prefer using irons on the PTR. Overall fun experience!

I have been looking at a red dot too. I found two ways to go. The $10 method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViXhNQz9uxs

The $100 method: https://hkparts.net/product/hk-mp5-2...rex-p2389.htm/

I'm going to shoot a rimfire match with mine tomorrow and let that help me decide red dot or not. Or more likely, the match will help me remember that a red dot is always better.

I’m trying out the Botach mount. Ordered today and going to fit a laser sight with an offset rail so I can still use the iron sights.

Note: as tempting as it is to buy bulk pack 22lr (e.g. Winchester white box), don’t. I’ve never had so many duds causing FTF until I started going through my second 333 box. Stick with CCI.

This rifle is so fun! Did some break in yesterday and ran 200 rounds of Remington bulk without a hiccup. It took a while to figure out how to sight in with the rear drum sight but once I got on paper I could shoot tight groups at 25 yards. For giggles I tried at 100 yards and I’ll just say I need an optic and/or more practice.

The Botach mount arrived and the screw spacing is about a half mm too narrow on each side. I can confirm the receiver is metal because I gouged it with the screws . The mount screws are also about 3mm too short, an easy fix but it’s a shame I’ve already marred the receiver.

Just purchased one from gunprime.com 2 days ago for $395. the price went back up yesterday and it's now 425 + $25 shipping (still a great deal in my opinion). About 10 years ago I had the GSG 5sd and have had regrets ever since letting it go. Probably the most fun 22 rifle I have ever had, and I hear the HK is even better from a reliability standpoint. Can't wait to play with the new toy

12pewpew, that grey receiver looks cool. I see a lot of guys on here not happy with the high price of the HK mags. This made me wonder if the gun would accept mags from the GSG-5? Anyone know if they’ll work?
