Default White series G Whitetail .451 muzzleloader

I inherited this, it's stainless steel with a black polymer stock, and in perfect condition - it pretty much just got a few range days and otherwise sat in a case. I remember shooting this and being incredibly impressed with it's accuracy just with iron sights. It's a thoroughly modern percussion cap black powder weapon, with a dual safety system - bolt drops down in to ready position, and there is a thumb safety as well. Trigger is really crisp and light. It can do 1,000ft/lbs of energy at 200 yards according to specs, with a ~400 gr slug

But I don't hunt and really have no use for this, so I'm considering selling it, but I have no idea how to value it? I've seen prices as much as $900, but examples are few.

The company appears to be defunct now, and I'm not sure what the market is like for products like this, it's pretty niche and small, but my understanding is that it qualifies as a C&R?

So, any idea what this is worth? Any offers?

I may have found a cousin and a spec ops buddy who hunt black powder and might be interested. For those who are concerned (and I am touched by it), I inherited (and own) other weapons I feel far more sentimental attachment to, and would actually see either range time or be useful for home defense.

So letting this thing just sit in safe seems sad to me.

But if my cousin or my buddy take it, I'd be keeping it in the family, either by by blood or bond, which would make me feel better about parting with it.
