Galatian Tact Auto PCP - Y or N, and why?
Hatsan's new Galatian Tact Auto PCP hits the market in a couple weeks. I don't own a Hatsan, but I've heard good things about their QE PCP line. Their rimfire CZ 452 clone (manufactured under the name Escort) also has its fans.
I'm pretty satisfied with my air rifle collection--a wood-stocked .22 Benjamin Marauder PCP for hunting small game, a .22 AirMagnum 850 for plinking, and a Walther Lever Action for pure fun. Or at least I was satisfied until I found out about the Galatian Tact Auto PCP. It's semi-auto! Yet it's a powerful PCP! In .25! And it's tacticool! For some reason, this combination of features makes me want it. Yet objectively, I can't really see why anyone would need a powerful, accurate semi-auto PCP air rifle that looks just like a Benelli M4. So school me. Do you want a Galatian Tact Auto? If so, what is it good for? Last edited by CornStrategy; 11-11-2018 at 1:33 PM.. |

I would NOT adopt any Hatsan Auto Product. I am a multiple Hatsan PCP owner and an advocate for the brand, but the autos--- and new releases of ANYTHING-- NO WAY---- early adopters always lose with Hatsan as well. Mag issues, feed issues, QA, etc. It takes 5 months or resolutions for Hatsan product to behave as they should.
My 2 cents

I agree about new releases of airguns. I pre-ordered the Benjamin Marauder synthetic and got a lemon with a leak and a crappy barrel. My second Mrod, purchased years later (at a steal of a price) works beautifully. |
