Those German air rifles are among the best IMHO.

My Diana 54 is insanely accurate. It’s a little rough on my scope with the recoil system, but I keep it tight. It’s also not the quietest of the bunch. I use my old blue streak when I need to be stealth.

I have Weihrauch HW97 K Black .177 with Bushnell Elite 3200 AO 4-12x40 scope. The photo is from when I got it, before I mounted scope. Weihrauch makes very good air guns, but a lot depends on your intended purpose.
Air Arms TX200 and Weihrauch HW97 are top of the line spring underlever rifles, there is really nothing that compares to these. They are also easy to work on if you want to swap mainsprings.
Weihrauch HW77 is using the same powerplant as 97, but has iron sights, but missing some features that 97 has and I was not planing to use iron sights, so choice was easy.
You can buy them in .177 and .22. If you buy scope, it has to be rated for air guns, due to their unique recoil.
i think that underlever design is superior to break barrel and avoids issues that are inherent to break barrel air guns.
These two air guns (97 and 2000) are about as accurate as pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) rifles, but without additional cost of charging them, on average you have about 40 shots, before you need to charge PCP rifle again.
If you have money there a much better competition grade rifles like Anschutz, Walther and Feinwerkbau.
I am absolutely not a fan of Chinese or Turkish airguns. Best choices are British or German airguns.

I have been looking at the Weihrauch air rifles too. I have a post on the WTB thread seeking a good condition HW50 and HW95, if anyone has them.

I have some late model springers (break and under) with suppressing devices (aftermarket) that are more than capable.

You cannot go wrong.

Look up Krale Group for good inventory.

I have 4 Weihrauch Air Rifles. I consider them to be some of the best Spring Powered Air Guns being made today.

I have 2 HW 35s. One was my first and I got it in 1977 and it came in thru Beeman Air Guns. It is an HW 35 EB "E" for Export and "B" for Beeman. at the time Mr. Beeman went to the factory in Germany and hand picked the actual guns he was going to import and sell here. In fact Mr Beeman really was the person who single handedly brought awareness of High Quality German Airguns to the US.



My other HW35 E I found in a junk store in town and I gave $60 for it! I had to refinish teh stock because it had a bunch of Pink house paint dripped on it. It had sat in someone's closet for many years but it still cleaned up well and I shoot it a lot. The HW35 has been in continuous production since 1951! There is a reason for that.! They are just that good. Both are .177 cal.



I have a HW77 .22 that my wife bought me to deal with annoying Mocking Birds that infested every tree in our neighborhood. It's a .22. I like it but I don't shoot it much.

My last one is a HW80/ Beeman R1, and it is a 10 lb beast. I have to cock it using my right arm as my left isn't strong enough. It's a .22 and I have hit Rimfire Silhouette Rams at 100 Meters with it and it knocked them down.!



Other Weihrauch guns in circulation right now are the Beeman R7/ HW30, R9/ HW50, HW80 and HW95 HW97 and a few others. They still make HW35's and Airguns of AZ sells them for $550.

There are other outfits that make excellent Spring Powered Guns. Air Arms from England, Diana of Germany, Feinwerkbau of Germany and a few others

Go look a Pyramyd Air, Airguns of AZ and others for some ideas.

Knowing what I know if I was looking for a Spring Powered Gun I'd look for a HW 35 as they are still one of the best airguns ever made by anyone.

Believe me any of the $500+ airguns will outlast you no matter how much you shoot. My HW35EB has had literally thousands of rounds run thru it. It is a one hole gun at 10M, and I have had it for 46 years! I shoot it frequently and it has a Williams Peep Sight mounted. I use it for Peep Sight Practice.



The other one has the Stock Open Sights and it is used for "Open Sight Practice." I also have a 3-9X Bug Buster Scope I can mount on either of these guns.

I download printed Silhouette Targets that are calibrated to 10 meters. And shoot the bulk of my .177 cal. pellets in my shop where I have a 10 Meter Range set up.

You should be getting the drift of how much I like these guns. Point being you can't go wrong with any Weihrauch Gun.

I notice the two I have shoot a bit different depending on the pellet weight, my HW97BL .22 likes heavier stuff. HW30S likes lighter .22.

I'm not much help in the area of pellet guns

I just got 3 used ones
1 hw30 no safety, leather seal
1 hw50 no safety, leather seal
1 diana 34

I had to order some new parts for the hw 30 and 50
Leather seals wasted, one had a broken spring
Missing sights/ loose sights or both. I will scope them up
I think the dovetail on the hw's are 12mm, I got some fillable bracked mounts I will try.

The diana 34 has a new spring and seal from me, the old ones probably would have been fine too
I mounted a 3?12 ar bushnell scope 10 yrd to infinitely parallax
I can only shoot 20 ft or less in my garage. Standing at 3 power I can shoot every pellet in to a 9mm case hole

The old hw's have different springs and seals than the newer hw's
I'm going to go with modern seals and the piston adapter as soon as they get here (from Australia, i couldn't find any in the usa or in stock)

All 3 of the rifles are well used. They are built excellent. Top notch quality
I have spent more money on upgrades in my opinion, but its a fun hobby. These rifles would probably be dead if I didn't get my hands on them
