Just note that RG (in FV) does not include mags. None in stock locally, but they can transfer from their TX location at no additional cost as long as you select "in store pickup".

Correct - that is the Lipsey's reissue.
Some shops have this with the CA legal 10rd mags.

They should have remade the 17L not the pedestrian 17.

Nice that it's $559, they're not marking it up as some collector BS

The reason I did not get a Glock in 1986 was lack of finger grooves. You had to get a Hogue grip for the Glock back then. But in a moment of clarity, Glock came out with the Gen 3 and now we have "Glock Perfection".

I'd probably grab one if I happened in one while visiting a shop, but I don't want to seek one out or order it. Fun.

That was 10 years ago. Glock Perfection now doesn't include finger grooves.

How about making a Glock 19 Gen1? Now that would be cool! I know very little Gen1 19’s were ever made and they were more experimental than for production.

It's not a Gen 1 any more than todays' Bronco is a Bronco.

It’s pretty close, 2 pin frame, pebble texture, no finger grooves, and made in Austria. I couldn’t resist and bought one

I?m fortunate to have one from the mid 1980?s, along with the box. I put it away, and kept on using 1911?s. Now it is a nostalgic piece for demos.

The roster doesn’t specify a SKU, just says no USA made Glocks and no Gen 4 or 5. This gen 1 17 is made in Austria like gen 2,3.

I have two Gen 1 Glock 17s. The gun store I bought them at said they needed to see them, so I brought them in and they changed the boxes on me. If I had known, I would have kept one of the original boxes as a comparison to the replacement.

Apparently, idiots were putting loaded pistols into the box and firing off a round by accident. I still wonder how the original box was to blame for that particular incident.

No problem with a Gen 3 with finger grooves and a long slide, but the Gen 1 box was not well thought out.

Gen 3 here still $499

The Classic, even here, is >$100 more

I would be inclined to question why they said ?they needed to see them?, and demand specific info. I think that FFL stole those boxes. See if you can get them back, unless we are talking 1980s here.

I kinda remember the original boxes to have a space for the spare magazine and spaces for ammunition. The replacement boxes were different. However we are talking around 40 years ago.

one of them in the replacement box - the gun store owners were and are my friends, so I didn't question their request.

Some of my various Glocks.

I am no expert, but I was told that I had two Gen 1's.

I have a Gen1 G17 with the evil original box.

It stores 17 rounds of 9mm.

You have to pull the trigger for the pistol to fit.

I also have the original black FC components and Gen1 non-fml mags.

I still have a Glock 19 Gen 2 NIB in the back of a safe...gave it to my dad for home defense. He never fired it and I got it back when he passed.
