Firearms policy coalition?

Interested to hear in order your lobbyist groups( for lack of a better term) that you would support. I recently donated to the firearms policy coalition and like what they stand for and the work they are doing. The NRA seems to have the power in DC but what about in CA?

NRA is the Big Dog in the fight nationally.

CRPA is same for Ca. And is the NRA affiliate here.

I'm not surprised that there IS such a thing... but this thread, is the first I've HEARD of them.

DOES reinforce the idea, that the NRA is THE B-I-G dog, in D.C. lobbying.

FPC is the only organization I've seen that has released videos of their attorney arguing our sides interest at the state capitol against anti gun bills.

and to be clear I am in no way pushing FPC, I was more trying to see where my money will be best served. I appreciate all the responses and will help make educated donations.

Brandon took a hit to his contracting business during the recession. I met him as he was leaving ca to live with relatives. He was homeless with his wife and kids. Then all of the sudden fpc is created and he is the main employee. Hmmmm.

LOL our old buddy Babbett... says it all but my mind was already made up. I follow the money and look for actual results and making a difference... GOA falls flat on its face by that measure every time I have actually read the 'accomplishments" on their website critically like an attorney would to see they do very little but ride the coattails of others.. and scream at the NRA.

The bellowing mode, on the screen or written, drives me up the wall. GOA is mainly hot air...all hat, no herd. I'd same about Hannity...not what he believes but how he reports it.

I'm surprised (and disappointed) there's no NRA-PVF (NRA Political Victory Fund), love in this thread.

The NRA-ILA is their lobbying arm, for pressuring politicians who are in office.

The NRA-PVF is their arm for getting politicians into office (i.e., winning elections). The better people in office, the less you have to pressure them to do the right things while they're there.

I will never donate again to the FPC. No communication, thank you or follow up. Simply give money. NRA, Calguns, and CRPA are the only three I donate to.

FPC is extremely unresponsive to emails but VERY relentless with emails soliciting for donations. I've made several donations to FPC over the last 2 years, none less than $25. I became a member 2 years ago. When I renewed earlier this year (after they relentlessly advertised that joining or renewing would get you their "old school" FPC patch that was being phased out) I never received the patch or ANYTHING confirming my renewal. I've emailed them twice and called them once. The guy I spoke to said to email them because there wasn't anything he could do. Both emails went unanswered and I've received no patch. So I don't even know if I'm still a member or not. Many of you may say wow it's just a patch. Well, you are right, it's just a patch. But after relentless, almost daily, emails asking for my money and not a single response to my emails that leaves a very bad taste in one's mouth. So I think I'm out as an FPC member. I'll join CRPA now. I'm already an NRA member.

Ok yeah, after reading your post i'm definitely not giving another dime to FPC. You basically described my experience with them; completely unresponsive. IF i'm a member still I will not renew. CRPA here I come.

I made a donation to FPC and in response received incessant over-the-top fundraising emails. I added them to my spam list because there isn’t an unsubscribe link on their emails.

CRPA is important in CA, way more than FPC. Money given to CRPA and instructed to be used for litigation, will be used to fund litigation which is where the dollars need to go. CRPA, with money from NRA, is responsible for giving us the Duncan case which triggered Freedom Week. They work with the Michel & Associates firm, which has been doing gun law in California since pretty much forever. Google em.

FPC has done suits in CA, but they haven't achieved anything.

FPC = Brandon. Not effective use of your money. His conduct on calguns was repugnant.

Crpa has shown itself as capable of fighting the state. Not one other entity has come close. Not one....

Do you have a link to the videos of FPC? I want to see it.

I remember for last year bills, I’ve seen NRA and CRPA lobbyists speaking out. If I remember, I’ll look for the archived videos on the Legislature’s website.
