I know that is nothing compared to what you ammo hounds have, but probably enough to last this shortage.
NEWS FLASH

The current ammo shortage is NEVER going to end.

It may not end, but I have seen signs of prices lowering. Possible causes are new gun owners obtaining their basic supply, people exhausting their covid checks, rent protections expiring, and Remington coming back online.

I shoot my Shadow 2 at distances up to fifty feet, and the Win does as good as all my other stuff. This is free hand and with a pistol that weights about ten pounds and in my wobbly hands, I can't say much. Knowing Win, they suck, but I don't see it. I bought a bunch from Beep Peed last summer for $109 delivered for 500 rounds, as I posted here numerous times. I think I bought five or six boxes. They represent about 15% of my stash.

One of these shooting days I'll move my table and chair down range to 50 feet and bring a rest too. I've been wondering which ammo I have shoots the best. There's no way I can shoot at 50 yards with my Shadow as I don't have an optic and I can just barely see the targets at that range. Maybe I'll set up my steel and nah, I don't want to do that. I want to keep it for my rimfire at 50-100 yards.

Some of the gougers are lowering their price a bit, others not. Box stores are still catching up, slowly raising their prices. I would still buy any good 9mm that has a price of under 40cpr delivered. You have to be fast and I'm not really looking like I use to.

New to California and this site.. NOT new to firearms and am a former MOS 2111.

Are there any sites in California that have ammo in 2021?

Federal Premium shop has a little ammo available at slightly reduced gouger prices. Fed 45 ACP, 9mm, 800 round 22lr and others are available with free ship over $150. Limit two boxes. Not sure I would order from these folks but many do with no complaints except them being very slow.

Was super excited to see all this ammo in stock at reasonable prices and added to my cart, just to find out they don’t ship to California.

Idk I just bought the same 9mm from a local store for $16 a box. You would think the manufacturer would be the cheapest.

You would think going straight to the manufacturer would be the cheapest, but it isn't. Why would you as a business sell a product if the manufacturer undercuts you on price? It would put you out of business really quick because it insentivises people to go straight to the source and cut you out. It's also bad for the manufacturer because now they have to open factory stores and figure out their own distribution to sell product which would add costs to the business.

Walmart doesn't make the product, but they have a massive distribution infrastructure to get the product you manufacture on the shelves across the nation.

Gouger Sam at SGA has the AE 9mm 115 gr in 100 round boxes for $78 plus $12 for shipping, limit 2.

I just bought the same from Graf's for $39, limit 5, with shipping at $10. I'm sure Graf is making more than 100% on the deal as they always make at least that unless it's on sale for some reason. Like most online retailers, Sam has got ridiculous. Yes, $39 is high due to the times. Also note, SW has the same for the same $39 price.

Got my shipping notice today. As I've mentioned before, great people to do business with.

Brownie's has the AE 55gr 223 up for sale for the totally unbeliveable price of $1.15 a round. This is the round that I use to pay 20 cents for, sometimes even less.

A relatively newbie has CCI Velocitors up for $9.99 with free ship when buying the max of 10. Folks at RFC have been buying from them for a few months now. Prices are ............. reasonable. CCI sv's were up for $3.99 a few days ago, limit 10, shipping at $12 for orders under $99. Can't find if they ship to CA, but probably not.

CCI doesn't ship to CA at all. Seems like the manufacturers in general won't. I know Federal and Sig also won't ship ammo to CA. Those 3 have all had stuff available online pretty frequently and usually not too badly priced but really a bummer to not be able to get it in CA.

Is $1/round the new normal for 556/223? I saw on Natchezss it was all listed at that price which is surprising since they seem to be a cheaper option typically.

Or more at many of the gougers. Those with "reasonable " of 70-80 cpr sell out quickly.

Steel is a bit cheaper.

Not according to the official FFL03 vendor thread.

I can't remember so do a search. I think you have to call them and set it up with them either ahead of time, which would be nice, or while it's up for sale and you are checking out, which would be impossible before they went OOS.

Best advice is to get an "intermediate" for your ammo purchases. No, I won't define that last sentence.

Bulk CCI has been available for two days now, or maybe it's three, at Natchez. Also right now Blazer is up, $27 a fifty, limit 10, plus all the extras. $921 delivered for 1K rounds of CCI loose, and ten boxes of CCI Blazers. 1500 rounds at 61.4 cpr delivered. Ouch. Glad I don't need it.

Natchez has all kinds of ammo up right now. 223/9mm/22lr mini mags. Yes, not cheap but this is as much as I've seen in a long while. Rem buckets of 223 for $245.
