More 9mm than they know what to do with...
9mm 100-round boxes $77-$78 each.
Not really sure where to put this post (G-rated suggestions welcome). I just left with my purchase and while I was at the counter they were telling a local instructor “We have more 9mm than we know what to do with”. No 50-round boxes left. But you can get a 100-round box for $77-$78. Not cheap. But it is available (right now) if you need it. Last edited by I-Wanna-Move; 04-15-2021 at 10:05 AM.. Reason: Error (my bad) |

I believe you’re right, LAX, as there’s no AB in HB. |

Yeah I've never owned a business but it seems to me the solution to "more than they know what to do with" is to lower the price. But what do I know?

Anybody in the OC area that’s not trying to get ripped off by LAX Ammo:
-Riflegear got a small shipment of 9mm and 223. When I was there this morning I got 100 rounds of Fiocchi range 9mm and 40 rounds of Federal Hydra-Shok 9mm for $110 OTD. It looks like they still have the Federal Defensive 9mm in stock. |

Its worth what somebody is willing to pay for it....some people out there are willing to pay more than others....It is unfortunate that some people/retailers try to take advantage of the situation right now and in the past (right after Sandy Hook), but having been to enough stores and shows over the years, there are plenty out there who will gladly "overpay" for 9mm and many other popular/hard to find calibers. Those who were fortunate enough to have gotten some before last March probably look at it from a different perspective than those who are new to the gun world or those who did not have any on hand and want to get some. Some price increase can be attributed to supply/demand, but some can also be attributed to the raw material costs (input costs) increasing substantially from a year ago for lead, copper, zinc, aluminum, iron and so on. Add in the extra costs of doing business from a year ago, and you have the makings of higher prices. While some of us can find "good" deals in store or online, I have noticed they come with very long lines to get them (or sold out in a matter of minutes online) and you are limited to 1 or 2 smaller sized boxes. It helps all of us when we can share good deals we can find in store or online, here on this site.

Retailers should mark stuff up until it hurts and no one buys it; then drop it as their inventory builds. Better then not having it.
Next crisis: $1.00 a round - you know its coming. |

This article explains the source of the continuing inflated prices and shortages in everything related to guns & ammo:

Seems to be a fine line between capitalism and greed/gouging. Me thinks folks are tired of paying these prices (or can't afford to keep paying them) and that's why they have more 9mm than they know what to do with. It's a cycle and product will move based on price or the next black swan event that throws a wrench into reality/logic. |

Graf and Sons just called me for a backorder I placed months ago.. as they said,
"It's the same price as when you ordered it.. .48 cents a round" and this was subsonic 147gn So it's way more than normal, but lower than 95% of the shops, I don't deal with gougers that are just maxing profit, that's their right but I hope they get buried in ammo
