I had bought a couple of thousand rounds of this PPU brand before Prop 63 went into effect. My M-1 Garands like it.

See if your receiving FFL Dealer can order it for you.

Occasionally there is some .30-06 ammunition suitable for your Garand listed on the Calguns market place in SoCal locations.

Target Sports still ships to Ca if you have your 03 and COE. They have ammo for the garand. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/csea...&Search=garand

Yes.

TargetSports USA - PPU ball ammo in the 500 round can, shipped to your FFL.

It is also copper jacketed and range friendly.

Unless the rifle has a premium barrel and other accuracy enhancements, dont expect better than 2-3 moa with any ammo.

This.
A true, CONSISTENT, REPEATABLE, HONEST 1-1/4 minute M1 is a keeper and more than capable of winning an across-the-course match. Of course, ALL m1's group much, much better at the keyboard.

I glass beded mine years ago and it made a huge improvement in accuracy. So much so that I sold off my other 2.

If you stick to hip shooting into a hillside, churning up dirt while bellowing war cries, wonkish pablum about groups, bullet sizes, powder grains, and beds made of glass are irrelevant.

I just noticed that LAX Ammo sells Garand food. They even have reloaded M2 ball.
I haven't checked against my last order from Free America before the hammer fell, but the prices didn't look bad.

Why wouldn't you have purchased ammo from CMP along with your rifle?

If you check the CMP site, it appears all the Greek surplus is gone...

Never said anything about surplus floor sweepings.
They do have good garand commercial ammo. Not long ago if you bought a rifle you got the ammo half off, was a heck of a good deal. Don't know if they are still doing the half off sale or not

OP, I have some LC69 from the CMP. Maybe 3 or 4 hundred rounds. I will be in Yorba Linda tomorrow afternoon. If you are interested, find a place to do the transfer.

This is USGI, but the bullets are magnetic, FYI.

Default Thank you all!

Right now I am still waiting on the delivery of the rifle. Once received I will be purchasing ammo. I appreciate all of the current offers, but until I receive the rifle I don't want to purchase ammo. If you are still interested in selling ammo, please keep in touch,

DG
