Default Escort Rimfire Rifle

Pick up one of these at sportsmans warehouse, I haven't heard much about these. I was looking for and bought a marlin XT while there I picked up this one as well. The price was right $180. From my research it's a copy of a CZ 452. The bolt is ruff even for a rimfire but besides that I have no complaints, accuracy is good, minute of squirrel and so far has been 100% reliable. All in all very happy with it, I'm don't think they are very common at sportsmans. I bought the only one they had but if anyone is interested they do carry them.

Thanks for the report.

I had to do a quick Internet search because I hadn't seen one of those for sale.

if it looks anything like the one from the article below it's a good-looking rifle.
Maybe there's a easy way to smooth out the bolts action, other than a few thousand rounds.

The action used to bother me but when I'm out shooting it I don't even notice.

The article says it has a 3/8" dovetail groove for scope mounting.

Yeah has the 3/8 dovetail I mounted a Simmons 22 scope using Leupold Rifleman Rings and everything is holding up good so far.

Saw them a bit ago, a lot of gun for the price and I wouldn't feel bad scuffing it up out in the field. The CZ magazines are interchangeable, tried that in store.

The price looks good, but just how accurate is it?

Well, they're made by Hatsan, which is from Turkey. That'd be my guess.

I just bought one of these guys last week from Duncans in San Marcos.
I am fairly new to firearms, but I am super happy with my purchase.
The gun is beautiful and well balanced. I went to the range and put about 100 rounds through it with no misfires or misfeeds.
I was shooting standing with the fiber-optic sights so my groups were nothing to brag about, but then they aren't with my old Remington either.

Almost looks like a CZ 452.

So it should be GTG!

I went to the The Gun Range today with my co-worker. He brought a bag full of handguns (.45, 9mm and a 22) and I brought my old High Standard 22 pistol and the Escort.
I shot the bottom, left circled group of 20 shots. The 20 shot group consisted of 10 shots of Winchester bucket ammo and 10 Thunderbolts at a whopping 20 yards off a front shooting bag.
The range goes out to 25, but the lighting is awful at the end of the range and I can't see what I'm doing.
I am a complete novice and the Escort has been perfect for me to learn the basics. It hasn't misfed, jammed or misfired once so far.
