One of my officers told me they called ProForce last week for a LE S&W pistol, earliest appointment time available was May 18th. He asked to have it transferred to me and they refused, stated their new policy does not allow them to do dealer transfers. I hear the wait times are 4-6 hours if you just show up or you can be first in line in the morning if you get there by 4AM.

What are the other options for blue label LEO only shops? The Pomona store is dry.
I was at proforce for a pickup 2 months ago and they told me “45 minutes”. 3.5 hours later I completed pickup. That really ticked me off. Tell me 3 hours but don’t BS me with 45 minutes and have me wait in the parking lot for 3.5 hours. |

Called two stores. One said no. The other said they could get LEO only guns but didn’t come with any special pricing.

So the way Proforce works is get there super early, put your name on the list with your phone #. At 1300 they cut off the list. Everyone on the list that answers the call can go into the store to do their DROS or P/U their firearm. The stay till all people on the list are taken care of. They have another list for non-firearms purchases.

Here's an example: ProForce is a Blue Label "distributor" and a retail store, but they have stopped selling Blue Label guns to Blue Label dealer stores. ProForce would have a Glock 17 GEN 5 MOS that they sell in the store for $450.00 to qualified purchasers, they would in the past sell the same Glock 17 GEN5 MOS to a Glock Blue Label dealer for resale in our store for $435 and charge us $15.00 to ship it. So by the time the gun gets to our store we already have $450.00 invested in the same gun, so if we sell it at the same price ProForce is selling it for we actually lose money, so most Blue Label stores bump the price up a little to make something on that gun. ProForce is getting that gun for a lot cheaper since they are a Blue Label "Distributor" and us Blue Label Dealers look like scum because we are charging more for the same gun even though we pay the same as you would in the ProForce store. No real incentive to sell Blue Label Glocks other than help out our local officers. In terms of pricing you will see out there, Glock is really bad and all over the place because of the example, Sig and Smith & Wesson make it a more even playing field for Blue Label dealers so prices would be more competitive. |
