Yeah, I spoke with the Sheriff's CCW department where I had my interview and they told me that I'm not the only one that has been waiting several months.

Wow.. State beauracy (spelling?) at its best. I am still waiting for my DD-214. that has been over 1 month and they cannot tell me when they will get to my request nor what day they are processing.... They just say call back next week.

many of us are getting firearms cleared after 11 weeks. You may be close now, but cbboxing1 wins at 4 months.. damn..

Perhaps the process(ing) is different- I renewed my CCW for the third time in mid May, it wasn't due for 10 weeks but they said send it in as early as 90 days ahead. called a month later and was told they have it, but hadn't looked at it at all- were catching up on current month's renewals. No worries.

Dropped them a short note a couple weeks later, they apologized and said they'd get on it- a week later got the call to come by and pick it up. So time to getting it from when they got started- 1 week. Spent more time there talking about 2A politics and our cool Sheriff (who poked his head in and said hello) than I spent on the entirety of renewing. Love it.

Today marks 90 days for me. It’s so frustrating. With just about anything else in life if there’s a delay you e-mail or call someone and find out the reason for the delay. But for us there’s none of that. I’m beginning to give up all hope. A lot of money has gone into this between fees, class, training and equipment. Does anyone out there that actually got one of these mythical CCW’s want to buy a beautiful HK P2000? Doesn’t look like I’ll be needing it…

Moved from OC in January 2022 just months after receiving my first CCW permit. September 2021 Live Scan took 38 days for firearms to clear, but since moving to SB and applying in the new county on 3/25 CA and FBI cleared same day. Today is 89 days in progress for Firearms. I would have thought if last year was the first time i was ever finger printed this time around would have been as fast if not faster because there was something to compare it to now. SBCSD told me yesterday it could be 10 months. Is that for real?

As of today I've been waiting 117 days and still counting for my Firearms portion! Buckle up as I think we are ALL still in for a bit of a ride.... The Sheriffs CCW department has no end date as to when it will be processed.

As of yesterday, I've been waiting 10 weeks for my CCW Firearms check to complete. CA and DOJ check completed in 1 day. I have a clean background and only submitted one newly purchased firearm to be included in my CCW permit

I applied for ccw in 6/3/22. With the long wait for live scan to clear. Should I go ahead and just get the live scan started since it will be a long wait regardless. Just to get the ball rolling.

Not sure you could unless you have had your interview yet. I think the agency has to order the live scan. I know I was told to get my training as soon as I could in my interview.

Sacramento County, Did my live scan March 15 and it cleared DOJ on June 2. I didnt notice until June 13 and uploaded current proof of residence docs that morning. The next day, June 14 I got the approval call, text and email. Paid the final $80 issuing fee and picked up my permit that day.

What county? Seems every county has different requirements. I seem to remember having to bring my "approval to move forward" notice with me for the live scan. But that was back in March and I cant remember

I did my Livescan on 04/04/22, and CA and FBI showed completed the same day. I'm still waiting on the Firearms portion to clear.

-FBI- Completed same day 2-25-2022
-CA- Completed 4-5-2022

mine cleared on a Saturday. I think the 90 day number is just a guide, it may take longer.

Mainly just spitballing from patterns I’ve recognized over the past couple of months. If it’s not, then I’m over 90 days. I saw that someone on Reddit had their Livescan clear, so the Supreme Court ruling hasn’t gummed up the works completely.

Has anyone cleared the CA and FBI, waited weeks for the Firearms, then out of the blue see an error “Unable to fetch applicant status” for a few days? A buddy said his started doing that last night, he tried again all day, same error. He sent me a picture of his ATI, and his birthdate, I get the same result.

EDIT: This morning it is working again, must have been system maintenance issue. His is at 9 weeks, his wife’s is at 12 weeks. Neither have arrest records, both own 2 pistols. It will get worse with all the new applicants from the larger counties since it’s a shall issue now.
