Default Intrafamilia questions

i really have 2 separate questions here

1. back in July i did an online intrafamilia transfer on my CFARS of a few pistols from a parent to me, CA obviously took the payment quickly and i still have not received the typical letter stating they are now in my name and online still says pending, just the same as an intrafamilia i did 2 years ago but received a letter saying they are in my name.

2. my daughters sent in 2 seperate intrafamilias in July for pistols i am giving them, CA deposited the checks but neither daughter has heard anything

who or where could i contact for follow up information other than the generic email on CFARS, both my COE and FFL 03 are current and have purchased a few items in this time frame so no reason for any delay

It can take 18 months to get any acknowledgement, there is nothing to do but wait. However don't worry while you wait, because there is no need for them to acknowledge anything and the transfer was lawfully completed when the form(s) were properly submitted

Wow any time I have done them it has only been 2-4 months I did one in February and was completed in May. My daughters were the ones I am most concerned about as they want to move forward with a CCW but obviously need them in their names

Anytime a transfer is being done for a gun to be added to CCW, it should be done via PPT, or you should be prepared to wait up to 18 months. PPT insures the transfer is completed in AFS when the gun is picked up from the FFL.

Have them do a pawn return - that'll get them immediately into their own names.

Post-2020, due to pandemic induced staffing shortages, after CA DOJ cashes in the payment for the report, it can take 6-24 months for an acknowledgement letter to arrive from CA DOJ BOF.
^Pre-2020, it took 4-64 weeks for an acknowledgement letter to arrive.
