I'm a FFL located in Ohio and I am curious about California Law.
I'm DOJ registered and regularly SHIP into California, but rarely buy from there. If I come across a hunting rifle or other common long gun, can a CA resident simply box it up and ship it to my shop, just like everyone else in the US? To date I've only purchased "Assault Weapons" from California that required an "export" so to speak through special dealers.... I'm guessing standard long guns are only subject to Federal Law when it comes to transfer/shipping to out of state buyers? |

Correct, as long as it goes to an FFl in Ohio since it's crossing state lines. The CA seller is probably going to have to use USPS for longungs as UPS and Fedx have clamped down on firearm shippments from non ffls. Handguns will be more difficult, may have to use a CA ffl to ship.
