Default Transfer Guns To My Son ?

I have some guns I want to transfer to my son who just turned 22 and has his FSC card. What's the easiest & cheapest way to do it ? I'm in OC. Thanks

Intra-Familial Transfer.

$19 for as many firearms as you want. Do it electronically through CFARS.

You’ll notice on the Form that you don’t fill it out. He fills it out and the Question How Acquired, he just writes GIFT FROM FATHER.

“$19 for as many firearms as you want.”

Some more info from the link I cited:

That's awesome, I was thinking if each gun had to be DROS'd, I'm looking at $1500-2000 in DOJ fees. Thanks again for your help.

No, not lucky, he's earned every one by having to put up with me over the last 22 years. I've been collecting guns since 1968 and have been very lucky to find some cool stuff, so I want to make sure my son gets most of them.

I raised my boy, he's the light of my life, 100x better of a person than I was and he's such an exemplary human being in every way. I need to make sure the things I've spent my life collecting goes to him and not my wife, her sister or the Gov't after I'm dead.

Thanks again for your help.

What do you mean? This crazed father is arming his son?

I'm doing the same for my son this Christmas.

Default Warning

Do not transfer a gun on CFARS if you need it to be included in AFS anytime in the near future. This is usually only a problem if one wants to list it on their CCW and if you IA is one of the ones that will not let it be added if it does not appear in AFS as being registered to the permitee.

Also, please note that it is the son who submits the Report ofIntra-Familiar Firearm Transaction over CFARS. True. Multiple firearms can be listed on one such report for a single $19 fee.

But take any handguns to be listed on your son's CCW to be transferred as a PPT by an FFL making sure that the FFL will deliver if your son status becomes undetermined.
