Might just be me, but it is light with a shorter barrel so my groups (such as they are) are not as tight.

Sweet! I’ve always wanted a SR22. Had a 22/45 and regrettably sold it (as with almost everything).
Definitely need to add a .22 back into the group.

Any reason why the mk4 is better than the Sr22? I always found it interesting that 22lr pistols look kinda odd as compared to your typical handgun.

I'm personally wanting this as it has a safety and Mag disconnect:

The email they sent states that the MK4 will arrive by June 5th, and the SR22 by June 10th.

Not a fan of requiring a LCI, or more so a Magazine Disconnect, but for .22LR guns that for me I don?t think I would ever use or need in a self defense situation, I can live with it and plan to get one of each.

Per Copper Jacket TV on YouTube, they will have magazine disconnect and the LCI is the industry standard peep hole through the top of the barrel tang.

Here are the product pages for both CA approved handguns. I?m glad it is the standard LCI through the barrel tang. I don?t mind the magazine disconnect if it is just a range gun for plinking and for teaching new shooters. This is a vast improvement over what used to be approved for the roster, though still hopeful the roster is removed someday.

There are some guns that are always going to be much cheaper to buy at Turner's or Sportsmans. This gun is one of them.

Dude, I didn't know they simplified disassembly of the Ruger Mark pistols until you mentioned it and I went to look it up.
Now I'm torn between which one to buy first.

Because the .22 LR cartridge doesn't have the power to cycle a normal looking steel slide. All the .22 guns that look like their centerfire brethren, have crappy lightweight zinc or aluminum slides which don't last nearly as long as steel.

If you want accuracy, reliability, and longevity, you need to use steel, even in a .22. So they have to get creative on how to make a gun with a light enough steel slide for a .22 to cycle reliably.
