A lot of people don't abide by the rules?
Same type that break the rules aren't concerned about leaving their trash, so its a double whammy.

There is Not a gate to close off the area
As it is a Main dirt road to access the back county and the Forestry uses it to patrol the forest
And off roaders can still use the trails..No problem with that !!!

The Trash piles up when ' People ' who don't obey the rules sneak out ..... Blast up some junk ....then run away ........

That why canyon #1 gets the most trash
First one they can get out ,,,,shoot Junk .... Run away like the Dirt Bags they are

This. Saw it first hand on way to Idyllwild.

I can do the 3rd (this Saturday) morning for sure. I'd be a maybe for the 10th and will follow this and update my availability when I know more.

PS, I broke my kneecap this year and am officially a bit of a gimp, but I come armed with a teenage son - lol. (And a Jeep Gladiator)

Here's the Scoop,,,

Maybe because it's December, Maybe it's because the canyons are not open for shooting.
Maybe it's just the way things are now .......

Not getting anybody to Volunteer on cleaning up just one Canyon
So I putting this on the back burner

I'm just going to wait till January
Repost a date for a clean-up and see what happens

I was out there this past Monday and it seemed all shooting canyons were full. #2 wasn’t too bad but I took out some trash and the Cranston fire station was kind enough to let me use their dumpsters to empty my haul. I met some people who seemed interested in coming out to a clean up.

For those of us further away, it would help if plans were made a little further into the future and a better idea of geographic location.

When the day might be the day after tomorrow and the location is somewhere East, it makes it a bit difficult to try and help.

BUT, for example if it's the first Saturday in March at Bee's Canyon (approx. 20 minutes west of Idyllwild), it's easier to plan.

If you look at the first post on this thread
I've been doing these Clean- Ups for over 12 Years now
To help keep this area open , Countless hours with personal on my own clean ups and volunteering with the Forest Service
With Full cooperation with the Forest Service
So I think I have a Good handle on the logistics

But , for example, What have you done to help out keep a shooting area open for future generations

I'm trying to figure out if you think I was insulting you for some reason? Or doubted your logistical prowess?

Neither is the case. Looking at the last page, what it seems like you were missing was help to clean up the range. Usually, that's why people post things like "Anyone interested in doing a One Canyon Clean-up???"

So I was just expressing that if things were planned a little further out and I had an accurate idea of where this range was, I might be able to offer some of the assistance you asked for. The lat/long works, thank you for that LMan57.

But clearly you have the logistics covered, so I'll look to help elsewhere.
