Please tell us more!
How much have you cut with the knives? How much have you worn the knives? Opening Closing Other than blade - any sharp corners/ edges? Many pretty knives don't hold up Edges dull fast or Blades break as they are too hard Etc

The actions are smooth with day to day use will need touch up once a month or so most of their blades are Some kind of D2 steel not the best but hold up great for a 50 dollar blade one handed open and closing. I haven't broke a blade but did bend one prying on something |

The green fixed blade will last a lifetime. I haven't used it for anything other than walking around the house thinking about defending myself from the pizza guy. The black folder has zero side to side blade wobble. It's as solid as a fixed blade when it's open. It's see it's fair share of cardboard so far. The wood Damascus one is the first one that will snap off from the handle if I had to guess. It's not as solid as the other two and has a tiny bit of blade wobble side to side when it's open. The damascus is real, 110 layers forged. Sharpest of the three. The wood is also very nice. Solid purchases all around. I'm sure I'll end up with a few more before the year is over. |

The Ortis is a nice model and so are the button lock models like the Cogent.
![]() It is hard to get too excited about more import liner locks though. Really good Ti framelocks at those prices would be more interesting. |

WE knives were pretty good when they came out, but the first $90 WE I had, even though it was smooth as glass, had a soft detent. Too soft where you could shake out the blade. The Civivi's I have today are better than that WE. I am sure the WE's are even more improved. Yeah, what they have done with Civivi is pretty impressive (especially comparing to junk like CJRB), but imports should be cheaper than USA made alternatives like ZT. When you get to about $100-$200 price, you can choose Hogue Deka Gen2, Kershaw USA, lots of ZT, etc... I have a ton of ZT I got for under $150... Are the ZT's worth THREE CIVIVI's though???
YEP. Three or five. The new wave of button locks is tempting... basically a smooth bearing flipper action with a slick button release that is fidgety and keeps your digits out of the blade path, if that's a plus. Button locks are cool but no more efficient than a compression lock IMHO. |

I've been using a civivi elementum as a work knife for the last few years. Excellent value for the money the D2 steel holds an edge for a long time. Plus if it gets lost your only out $50+ bucks not a few hundred
