CZ 512 tactical 22wmr

I read through old threads, but couldn't reply.

I've been looking for a semi-auto 22wmr to shoot all the ammo I've accumulated (I can only shoot so much with CZ 455 22wmr) and it looks as if the only reliable options are the CZ 512 & Volquartsen. Not sure if I want to drop $1800 for a Volquartsen since I own a Kidd 22 and don't shoot it much.

Cleaning the 512 seems like a pain, but then again, so is the Kidd 22, which is probably why I don't shoot it as much as I should since it's a great little rifle.

Anyone have firsthand experience with this firearm? I know it's discontinued, but a used one pops up every now and then.

Someone posted about the Rossi RS22M a while ago, the online reviews are good, hard (impossible?) to get extra mags right now from what I can see, but I've been tempted, the price is not bad.

Thanks for the tip. Didn't even know it existed.

Looks as if they have a few in 22LR, but not 22WMR. I'll keep checking to see if they get one.

I thought there might be a couple Wrm 512 s ,one page had about 6 512s on it.

The same firearm I mentioned above is now above $1,000.

I'm assuming it's desirable because it's chambered in 22wmr since 22lr models don't seem to be as rare.

Get a Kel-Tec CMR-30 or a Savage A22 Magnum.

Or try to find an off-roster Kel-Tec PMR-30 pistol.

For revolvers, get a S&W 648, Ruger Single Six Convertible, or a Ruger LCR.

I bought a used 512 American like new with 350 rounds of .22 wmr ammo at my LGS for $499 a month ago. I don't think they are super popular, just hard to find - and I got really lucky. I took it to the desert to shoot, and it is a fantastic gun in a very fun caliber. No issues at all and 100% reliable ammo-wise.

Right now buying a gun is a total crapshoot. (no pun intended) You make your list and hope for something to pop up. The lower caliber rifles were among the most ignored guns in the store and weren't overpriced at all. The high prices online are posted by opportunists who are betting that someone with money will eventually pay the price now because of supply issues. Can't really blame them; it only takes one buyer... LGS don't quite have the same pricing issue, because sellers know there are always other guns in the store that are more sensibly priced, and buyers with hot pockets will look at other alternatives.

got a CZ512 American 22WMR @ Turners 2 yrs ago for $475. The tactical wasn't my taste.

fun gun at the cost < 9mm ammo. trigger pull could be better. nice wood. plastic magazines are too $$ for what they are.

GB has a NIB American w/Burris scope $750 with 23 bids and 3 days to go.
I wouldn't be buying anything now.

I have the 512 tactical.

It is a little bit of a pain to take down. I want the black wood version, but it isn't a good time to be buying anything right now.

The 512 has been very reliable though. Never had a hiccup with it

I also have a CZ 512 non-tactical 22 WMR. It's a good gun. Reliable and accurate. I have a scope on mine and I can hit soda cans with ease at 100 yards and the 22 magnum blows them up with authority.
