My real MG42 is one of my favorites. This is a Nazi stamped WWII MG42. Not a post war gun. I never ran with its original 8mm parts. I just don't trust the older ammo. I have an MG3 7.62x51 conversion for it and a much more affordable 7.62x39 conversion for it.

Here it is in 308

Here it is in 7.62x39

My buddy sporting a SICO Spectre II can during one of our night shoots. No one could video me because I was running total dark with a Suppressed AR15 9mm with Rugged Obsidian 45 and night vision with an IR laser.

Some of the attitudes in this thread are exactly why calguns was formed in the first place.

Rare Springfield Armory import on the left. Barely used Action Arms import on the right.

I think there is a place for both braces and SBRs... definitely pros and cons for each. These were just not the same with braces, had to do the stamps...

Car gun though, pistol brace for sure...

I think there's a combination of sour grapes and the absolute reality that if you have to ask permission (apply and pay for a stamp) and still be restricted, it's not true freedom.

If it is not going to be a machine gun it gets a brace. My only braced gun is my CP33. I love it.

Awesome guns, Phil. Wish I could also make those purchases a business expense. I'd buy a tank LOL

It is nice that they pay for themselves quickly.

Vehicles are a maintenance nightmare. Not worth it to me. I want high margin with low cost. My range is a perfect example. I have under $25k into it and my taxes are $7 a year. It paid for itself in 1 year. I have gun dealers and owners asking to buy it all the time. Guys in this area are so desperate they are looking at land 2 hours away. I turned down $100k last year. A lot across the way from me sold for $140k. It is twice the size but landlocked with other properties. Mine is between two friends lots and ours back to a few thousand acres of locked public land with mountains and caves. No one can access it but us and the government. The locals cannot shoot from June until October outside. That makes my private range a blessing.

My buddy at bulletproof diesel has a tank in Mesa.
Another friend has 1000 acres down by fort huachuca. He has tanks and apcs. He leases his land to the army to train drone targeting.

Under 200 semi auto versions were imported by Springfield Armory.
I'm guessing only a handful were selectfire.

Then there is my museum gun.

I think under 15 of these selectfire Hungarian FEG AMP-69's are in the USA. The internet typically has these shown in museums. Some would call it the Holy Grail of unobtanium AK47s. Ian of forgotten weapons did a video on one but it was missing the correct blank firing magazine and training grenades. I was offered $200 for the mag and $500 for each grenade. I laughed. Semi auto kits pop up once in awhile for $2000-3000.

If that’s a HK 53 in the video, here’s a current auction, not ours:

holy smokes! thanks and yes that's an hk53..

guess I better pencil that in on it's own budget line

I suppose I might actually pop for one fun switch but was thinking I had seen m16 in $15k-$20k but that was quite some time ago..

couple months ago on the farm, my buddy from here was out visiting to help with some overhead wires.. we heard some braaap-braaap over on the next county road and he says "you can have full auto here?" I just smiled

I'll be talking to y'all in about 5 years.. or sooner if this nutty state doesn't drive me to retire earlier.. trying to avoid age penalty but getting more difficult by the moment..

Hard to beat SOT gun pron.

KAC SR-15 16" on the top with a Griffin Armament Recce 5

Homebrew SBR on the bottom. 12.3 barrel reduced gas port, A5H2 buffer system and YHM Turbo K2 can.

Fun fact, that registered SBR on the bottom was one of the first Off list lowers in California from the notorious San Jose gun show. Purchased from Wes @ 10% firearms. I had to drive from Sacramento to Taft to pick it up after the 10 day wait.

Very nice! When I was 17 in 1976 I bought a Colt SP1 for $199. My first AR. I couldnít even buy ammo until I was 18 based on the laws then. Itís still in my collection. A few years ago I built a post sample Lightning Link for it:

I have one as well. It came with the original purchase. I really should find the original bird cage flash hider and restore it to OEM condition.

Good looking rigs there. What's the optic on the SBR?

Wes is a good guy. I recall one day he drove to meet me at a range in Oxnard just to play with his/our suppressors.

Speaking of lowers; I did an 80% while in CA back in about 2010. It had the SP1 upper on it for a long time with a bullet button. Once liberated to AZ it became a post sample. Here it is today as modeled by CalGunner SVT-40:

Thanks man, I'm a sucker for the 70's and 80's style guns as that's what I grew up dreaming about owning.

I'm always late to the game with everything, didn't get out to free America until after NFA items went way beyond what I could afford but every now and then I dream of a select fire Uzi for the collection.

You'll appreciate this rifle. It an original Costa Mesa built gun that the factory originally intended to be select fire. They scrubbed the selector markings and made it semi with selector positions at 9/3 o'clock along with the semi-auto "S" serial number prefix. A weird variant!

I believe all production rifles came with the AR-18 grip, semi or select fire.

I didn't know that, never had the chance to see one in person.

Sorry forgot to answer your question

That's a Vortex UH-1 holographic sight.
