Thought I'd introduce myself...

I'm Shel, from Woodland Hills.

I've had a S & W revolver for years, loved going to the range, and decided recently that I'd like to get a semi automatic.

After lots of reading, I met with a trainer and got some basic training in semi's... safety, proper way to load, unload, disassemble, clean, hold and aim, etc.

Then spend some time at the range, trying out different guns.

Decided on either a Glock 17 or 19, and found a brand new Glock 19 on this site! This was after about a month and a half of reading up, taking intro class, and lots of searching!

Now I get to wait.... that's ok. At least I know that within 30 days, at most, I'll have my G19.

Big thanks to Riddlr53, who made a first time buyers (well, first time in this century) gun purchase a smooth, pleasant and easy experience!

Really enjoy learning from everyone elses experience!

Hi all,
Just joined after lurking here off and on for a while. Born and raised in Socal, SGV. First firearm (SP101 4") was a transfer from my sister in 2015. Looking to pick up a semi-auto in the near future.

Hardly shooting now, but want to ease into it. Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Grateful that this place exists, such a wealth of knowledge and information.

Let us know your budget or we will help you spend a lot.

Anything you have liked in semi?

Do you want it for HD, CCW, Plinking, etc.

Hi, glad to be part of the community. I live in Canada but have family near Sacramento. I am a gun nerd and cannot stop buying and selling guns. These days it is mostly modern collectible precision rifles and unicorn one of exotic military ptototypes.

Hello all. I've been a member here for only about 1.5 months-and I've already purchased more firearms from other members than I'd care to admit-especially to my wife! But each transaction has been with an honest gentleman-can't say enough about Calgunners at this point!

Hello everyone. I'm from the Midwest originally and I grew up around shot guns and hunting rifles my whole life. Was never a huge enthusiast until recently when I got back into white tail deer hunting with modern sporting and precision rifles. I've really gotten into building and coating them in the last year. I still have a lot to learn and this site seems amazing. CA sure does make it tough on hunters and gun owners in general.
