Default Apparently, TargetMasters gave all information about their customers to the county

https://old.reddit.com/r/CAguns/comm..._before_youre/

Quote from that reddit post:

Quote:
It seems the County of Santa Clara has collected the range cards from Target Masters West and created a database of all the shooters, addresses, ages, whomever you were with and whatever else you filled out on the form. This database is maintained and held by their Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. If you went shooting there with someone under 21 or are under 21 yourself, you will or likely have already received a letter from them with a letter stating they know you have been going to shooting ranges and some pamphlets about lead exposure. I called and asked about the letter and they were able to pull dates and the names of the people I went with. They likely have their driver license ID as well but not their address.

"Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program" - sounds like a euphemism for "saving gangbangers from getting shot"

I’ll be shocked if I get a letter. I don’t even live in Santa Clara county.

You will be delighted to know that if your blood tests high for lead they immediately notify the state. Way before you.....

They showed up at Lindbergh Field to track down the industrial source of lead when I got High Score on the PB Quiz.

Guess where the only leaded gas you can find is still in use.

Mr TKM, I like the bottom line of your posting, but you didn't specify exactly the free childbirth care, and yes it is included in the free medical care you mentioned. I only bring this up because my wife's operation recovery in 2010 was next to the baby delivery and after care area she stayed in in Martinez. It was full of obviously none citizens at that time.

Yep got one of those letters. And now the state can add to their list those that have been shooting and that they may have guns in their house. So ho soon before the county comes checking to see if your kid is still being exposed to lead and try to remove that exposure?

I haven’t been there for probably over a decade and a 1/2, and I wasn’t under 21, and I never brought anyone under 21.

But it’s good to know that big brother might send me a letter basically threatening that they know I have guns. But that’s not the reason we’re keeping this registry, we’re doing it under the guise of lead contamination and public health.

But if a letter of that sort dose show up, I’ll post it.

County of Santa Clara

Quote:
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP)
According to the Centers for Disease Control, there are at least four million households in the United States today that have children living in them who are exposed to lead. Roughly, half a million of these children aged 1-5 years have blood lead levels above 5 micrograms per deciliter (µg/dL), the reference level at which public health intervention should be initiated, according to the CDC.

Children under six years old and fetuses are at greatest risk of harmful health effects from lead poisoning because their brains and nervous systems are still forming, because they absorb more of the lead that they ingest or inhale, and because they are very oral.

The Santa Clara County Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP) is a state-funded program aimed at identifying and treating children who are at risk for lead poisoning. Our mission is to identify children with elevated blood lead levels, and to subsequently investigate, find, and remediate the source of lead poisoning if possible.

Our program works with children from birth to age 21. We are comprised of a multidisciplinary team consisting of a coordinator, a public health nurse, a registered environmental health specialist, and a community worker. Through a coordinated team effort, we strive to provide case management for children who have elevated blood lead levels that meet program requirements. Through our efforts, and collaboration with community partners, we aim to lower blood lead levels of all children in Santa Clara County, and thus achieve Healthy People 2020 goals.
What a complete boondoggle designed to cover anti-gun activities. If children under six are the greatest risk and predominant population, scanning lead exposure to a minuscule population of over six (probably 12) year-old children has no focus other than to target the source of lead exposure for remediation.

Many years ago I took my boys there...both under 21 at the time...shot numerous times over a few years.

No notice, letters, etc. I will post if anything occurs.

I made a brief stop there and bought a little bottle of lubricant. Never shot there. I got the letter.

It seems like a good excuse to close the indoor gun ranges. Next the outdoor ones will be targeted too. This state sucks.

Lead poisoning is serious. 26 years ago, I was on a construction crew that wore lead monitors for a week. Quite a few workers across the state were monitored to establish new lead safety guidelines . We restored houses in the Pacific Heights area of SF. I myself had lead poisoning from old lead paint being ambient from sanding and burning.
We were trained to change our clothes before going home and to wash our hands before eating . Under a black light , you will see that after touching a small amount of dust , it will show up all over your face and body.
One of the guys 10 year old daughter had lead poisoning and they had no idea why. Even though he changed his clothes, the guy wore his dusty boots home and the dust built up in his truck. He drove his daughter to school . The dust in his truck was enough to give hers acute lead poisoning. It doesn’t take much to poison kids.
I quit soon after.

And do not forget , they also turned over 30 years of 4473's ( and all the extra paperwork) that have ever been filled out ( as per the law ).

So you are now in the records that the FBI has , they know what you have , how many you have , serial numbers/make/model/caliber , and your past addresses and current address .

Wait until they cross reference all that , then we get a Dem President , Senate and Congress . That is when the fun starts.
