Does it just set up the interview? Or can you pay through it as well?

Iím thinking there are a few errors. Their chart says amendment is 10$, but online system wants me to pay 40$. 4 is the ďinternet convenience feeĒ

Renewal online was very easy. Seems like there was a lot less to the questionnaire than when I initially applied two years ago. Online, I didn't have to answer the "sheriffs questionnaire" like I did when I initially applied. It was nice being able to pick my own available interview date.

I keep hearing and reading on FB that personal protection is being accepted as GC. But no first hand accounts from anyone that have been approved yet.

I would assume EMS would be easy to obtain for them.

Online process accepted and set appointment for May 10th. Confirmation email says that I am suppose to complete the 8-hr CCW safety course. Am I suppose to complete this first? I thought after the interview portion. Thanks in advance!!!

Thanks,
V

Depends. You could either qualify before so itís done and over with or try and see if you can get a pre approval to see if you get it or not. Some people take the chance others donít.

Haven't heard of any other acceptances lately, maybe it slowed down a bit?

I have recently moved to menifee and have my ccw appointment in approximately 2 weeks. I have my orange county ccw that will expire on june 20th via the 90 day window after moving. I've read a couple posts where personal protection is now accepted, can anyone confirm this. Also, since I already have the appointment, can I fill out the application online? If nobody is sure, I'm planning on calling tomorrow afternoon but figured I would inquire here first. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Does anyone have a sample or idea of what else is needed in the good moral character letter riverside requires? I have people willing to do it, but outside of the info that riverside lists I have no idea what is needed.

Make sure they acknowledge you are applying for riverside county sheriff
Then write how long they know you and some personal ways they can show you have good moral character

Oh, just thought of this, do they need to be signed or can the name just be printed at the foot so I can have them email it over to me?

I had mine typed and printed out, then actual hand signed and dated by each person.

Investigator told me to have it signed by the person writing the letter, I read in previous posts that sooner dates on letter is better.

Ok, I will make sure to let them know. I work near 2 of the people doing the letters for me and the other one lives near me so it I'll have to swing by for signatures.

My investigator asked if I could have my reference sign it and then email it back. But it wasted time. I did t bother to open the letters and pre-read them. They came sealed, did t matter to the investigator, he asked that I open them for him to read, mind as well save the hassle.
1.) have the reference state something about your good judgement and character
2) state that the reference is aware that you are applying for a permit.
3.) sign date and provide a phone number.

Anyone know if there is a timeframe/deadline between getting pre approved and the safety course and weapons qualification? Id like to know if I'm approved for a ccw before I purchase a compact ccw weapon.

Thanks
