Will you give away the Finn Wolf separately? Kidding.

I'm already pretty much giving away all of the knives that I'm trying to sell.

Avoiding the 10% that EBAY will take is a good deal all-around Why you selling that CS? I just love selling stuff on EBAY where I'm losing 13.5% and someone will not bid, but messages me "what's your lowest price?".

Will go to eBay only as a last resort. Only trying to sell on BF and here for now.

Just started the selling knives that don't "fit" in my collection after a very heavy acquisition phase which is all done now. Doesn't mean I still don't have knives that I want to buy but they are harder to find and more expensive now. So, my purchases have declined substantially in volume, if not in price.

Just time to sell of stuff but I've only designated about 20 knives out of over 300 that I want to sell. So, what I'm selling is only a very small part of the collection that only took me 6 months to assemble.

Sounds so sterile and mechanical. Go out and beat the hell out of a few knives and have some fun. Kidding again.

Looking forward to getting that SRK. Will etch and strip it and do a "stonewash" on it.

Back on topic, my most recent purchases were a "like new" Spyderfly off of eBay and a just released Spyderco Drunken direct from Spyderco. Already received the Spyderfly and should receive the Drunken shortly.

Yeah, it looks like a stretched out Sinkevich ZT0456CF but it looks a lot better to me than that model. Only bought it because it could get it below MAP as a Spyderco OpFocus member. If I don't like it when I get it, I'll sell it.

He likes that shape now. That is very close to the shape of my 0456BW shape. Nice shape, nice CF.

Say shape again.

Dibs! I've been eyeballing this and like it more every time I see it.

Noted. You'll be the 1st to hear from me if I decide I don't like it.

The initial supply is already out of stock and (like the Smock) who knows when you'll be able to place an order to buy one again? Despite the high price, demand is very high.

$630 MSRP is a chunk of change. But I am sure the QC spec is MAX for the Taiwanese on this one.

How much below MSRP do you get if you are in the OpFocus?

That pretty much sums up my approach to the situation. Scott makes an AWESOME knife, but his Comms skills suck. I went easily over a year a couple times with no response to my inquiries and outreaching from him. I was tempted to flip the knife as soon as I got it for a nice profit, but the knife is so awesome, I haven't been able to so far.

I got the SRK. Nice CS for $26 for sure. Not sure how the logo will etch because it looks painted too, but we'll give it a shot.

Yeah I think ECOP is still having a pretty good knife sale.

Whatever that logo colorfill is it seems metallic because it electro etched OK... the small logo on the flip side where I didn't do it disappeared.

Turned out good, just got a little carried away using a Worksharp doing an orange peel type polish before I sanded it and got rid of it... BUBBA took over, but who cares, it is sharp, it cuts and it cost $26 hahah.

Etch works... you can tell by the black

After Citristrip for a couple hours only - cheap paint, scraped with a butter knife

Worksharp BUBBA

Do you have a link to that deal? I couldn’t find it on ECOP, maybe they’ve sold out?

I want to get one and suggest one to a friend that putting his bug out bag kit together, he’s on a tight budget.

You can check ebay but they sold out on Amazon... just search for SRK. Looks like ECOP sold their stock... they were $26.11 shipped on Amazon and a little less on EBAY from them... maybe they will offer more. It happens.

Thanks, I found them for $38.95 - $42 on eBay but the SRK is across the bolster, not up on the top of the blade like yours.

Was on the "unofficial" wait list for a MUDD Hawk Auto from their 2nd batch and I just got an email offering to let me buy one today. I bought one in black G10 w/o the DLC upgrade and got a 10% LEO discount on it as well. Can't wait to receive it.

It should look like this one:

Its just a piece of steel. Also most steels this technique can improve corrosion resistance.

It’s just bluing. Yep. Interestingly enough when you let lemon juice sit on 1095 it produces a pretty strong chemical smell not at all like a fresh sliced Meyer Lemon... chemical reactions are cool. Another observation is that the logos just vaporized, were completely erased.

Seriously?

I've got lots of carbon steel kitchen knives that look like that but they still rust if I don't dry them completely.

I don't see any reason to deliberately "corrode" a blade but, as I said, "to each his own.

Your $, your knife, your choice . . .

Who said blued steel won't rust if you keep it wet? Hahah. Oil is still needed on carbon steels, OBVIOUSLY. Is blued steel more protected than raw? Yes. Are coatings better? Yeah. Whatever finish you use, you oil the blade or at least keep them dry from water. Even painted blades are uncoated at the edge. S35VN, INFI, and other stainless blades don't need much care.

Patina, forced or not, or just leaving it wet after slicing an apple etc... drying it later, for looks is a thing wether you know about it or not Some people like it for looks or rust prevention. Some people like blued guns too
