Home Defense (Alarm System)

WHAT DO YOU USE TO PROTECT YOUR HOME

Any home alarm system can be defeated. You just want the amateurs to pass you and look for an easier target. Armed home defense is only as good as you are. Unless your firearm is right next to you, it might as well be on Mars. Home carry sounds unusual, but makes more sense. You can't go running to another room to get your gun. A simply outside the waistband holster with a untucked t shirt covering will work fine.

No light?

Been looking for a light rail system that I like. Any recommendations?

It's cheaper to just flip on the light switch

I actually just like to see what people keep on nightstand duty, but we can trade insults instead if you'd like.

I carry at home because:

No, that won't be necessary. In regard to the light, I am a fan of the Elzetta mount with a basic Surefire light. The mount is polymer and light weight, but very sturdy. We have them on our work guns and I have one on my 870 at home. It can be mounted with the light on either side. Sorry I don't have a pic handy.

No need for a pressure pad, wires, or anything else that will be complicated or confusing in an emergency.

OP your best bet if you want a clamp on type is the CDM Gear MTC due to your lack of real estate on the mag tube or just add a section of rail onto your Magpul forend and put any WML on it.

CDM Gear MTC railed or flashlight loop.
