Fun Gun Shootout at M-N-M

So, who's in for this Saturday?

I'll be there with the 28ga :D

whutsup40 04-06-2021 7:19 PM

The famous 28 gauge!! :D

whutsup40 04-06-2021 7:21 PM

we will be there, But I will not have a 28 gauge, May pull out the 16 gauge since it's been fixed and cleaned, but that's a crap shoot. lol

ceh383 04-06-2021 7:22 PM

It fits the name of the event...
It IS a FUN gun

shovelon 04-07-2021 5:37 AM

You know it!

Will have my SxSs cleaned and lubed. But sticking with 12 ga this time.

bsl394 04-07-2021 12:03 PM

I’m in with the usual 12 ga. I’m eyeing a SXS for Christmas this year.

I see it as 2 fun ways to get a payout. Speaking of that it looks like no one got the blind squirrel money last Sunday. if it rolls over to the fun gun then $$$$$$$. :43:

whutsup40 04-07-2021 3:48 PM

I do believe but you might want to check, The big bonanza and fun shoot blind squirrel are separate.

whutsup40 04-07-2021 3:50 PM

I believe the big bonanza pot was 1500.00 before the event! cha ching.

ceh383 04-07-2021 7:09 PM

Last month it was $230, I don't think anyone won.

ceh383 04-10-2021 10:46 AM

It was a fun, rough day.
I did better than expected on 5-Stand, but worse every where else.
This was not a 28ga friendly course today

I learned that last month. 12 gauge ruled the day today. Richard T. won HOA and $100 first prize shooting his pump 12 gauge.

ceh383 04-10-2021 12:08 PM

I think I won $35 (according to scorechaser).
I shot just bad enough to win

champu 04-10-2021 12:13 PM

At some point I should probably stop sucking so bad at 5-stand.

Overall, you did well...6th high score. Not bad at all.
Next time I might just bring a 12ga...and hopefully I will be seeing better.

PS: Thanks for letting me use your gun for those last rabbits.

I did ok considering I was shooting a 28...
I had #1 and #6 down, the rest were a crap shoot.

Did anyone hit #8?

Awesome!!!
When we went, right before you, nobody had hit it to that point, and no one on my squad hit it either. Glad someone hit it :D

Fast and far away or fast and right in front of you? :43: Big leads????

ceh383 04-10-2021 7:12 PM

The former...and yes, big leads.

Not to mention, hard to see...

Did you shoot five stand first?

whutsup40 04-10-2021 7:23 PM

It was fast and going away along the ridge, 5 ft lead and a flat bird.

ceh383 04-10-2021 7:24 PM

We shot it near the end of the day. I started on stand 3, my best of the round. This course was not friendly to a 28ga.
Looks like you are holding your own at the regionals, you may get a punch for 5-Stand...

Check this link out:

The machine was already 50 yards out and it was a teal/trap going away. I dropped it once. It was nasty, probably 90 yards when it was falling. :43:

I cued it up to that shot. This young guy is good and you can see his frustration with this target. There was more than one squad where NO ONE could hit it once. LOL
