Turner’s Consignment sales Beware!

In March of this year I placed an consignment item with Turner's Outdoorsman.

It was sold in April and I still have not received the proceeds from the sale.

Speaking to the store manager and all he says there’s nothing he can do
That it’s up to accounting at corporate... WTH!

I called the store manager last week and due to the Memorial Day the check would be sent to the store and could be pick it up on Friday June 4th.

So today I drove to the store, waited in line (20 minutes) to pick up the check, guess what No Check, No phone call from the manager to say it wasn’t there. I was told yesterday that it was on the truck and would be there today.

Now today, told it won’t be until next Tuesday! no way for a customer to be treated.

It’s at corporate office in Rancho Cucamonga 1.5 hours away! Can’t they do next day shipping.

I haven't done a consignment at Turner's in years because of stuff like that. Way too corporate and slow and too high a fee. I'll continue to use places with much lower fees and pays you out in cash in a reasonable amount of time after gun sells.

Sorry to hear that. One more reason not to step into a turner's store.

I've been there 2-3x during whiole pandemic only bought some ammo at the one in Palm Desert I have maybe bought one gun in Turner's in last 3-4 years. Sad as I used to buy a lot there it just got too corporate.

Corporate culture... call the top officer. Probably a real guy on the team.

Never use Turner's or other big box store for consignment.

Sorry to see what I call "theft" to you. All others beware they run an operation that dont care the borders on illegal activity. I never go to them after last year realizing at purchase 75% of my items I bought was charged higher then labeled at shelf. Store manager acted like I was being a pain to get price corrected to shelf label price. Department of measures law. Called and emailed cooperate no response.

Similar thing happened when I put a deposit down on a gun. (S&W 617, not rare at the time but not stocked often)

Months later, still no gun so I asked for the deposit back.

Took a few more calls and time than should be needed for a simple task.

In the past year and a little bit prior to covid I have bought over 20 guns from Turners. But the way they have handled my consignment, with blatant lies. I am 100% done with them forever. Only guy worth a ****, Ben the district manager that I have dealt with in the past isn't available I am told. They have lost me forever.
