What for? You can't shoot steel with them and they're not the ideal accuracy round. So what's the benefit?

The preferred load of the Vietnam snipers was the 30-06 AP round.

Pretty hard to come by these days. When the AP 30.06 bullets pop up on ARF they are usually a buck a piece. But they don't come up often.

Do a "find" on the page for 163 and you'll find US pulled 30-06 AP projectiles at $0.49/bullet in sets of 100 bullets.
Says you may have to resize them if they don't have the time. How do you resize a bullet?

CMP used to have some 3006 AP. Buy those, pull the bullets, reload for your own desire.
They’re prohibited to shoot just about everywhere (BLM, Indoor ranges, most/just about every outdoor range where things can burn, ...). Not sure why you want them so bad, novelty I guess

I use a lee sizer/lube die for 50BMG.
I guess you could use one for 308 bullets.
The CMP stuff has sold out in less than 12-24 hours each time it has come up for sale.
For those that do not know the AP bullets are more accurate than ball bullets.

I have 47 or so of them I will sell for $1 each. They are pull down bullets.

Am I right in understanding that tracer compleat rounds are illegal to own?
Tracer rounds in California are one felony per projectile. Loaded, unloaded, paperweight or earrings.

What caliber are you loading for. I got some 30-06 M2 AP ammo I would sell a buck a round if you're interested.

Lee push through sizer. If you have anything better than a throwaway press you can run them through a Lee push through sizer on your single stage press. No issues.
I can do that with m33 ball bullets on a LEE press without an issue. Though I do need to lube them up a smidge.
