I won't say it is addictive, but I load ammo for guns I don't even own.
Its completely normal. :p

Basic reloading is surprisingly simple.

If your reloads fail then just reverse the polarity of your press.

Sometimes I see dies or components for a really great deal and a little voice says "I am gonna have to buy a gun in that caliber"
Welcome to the addiction op ...... lots of great people here when you have questions.

My dad was an EE, he showed/taught me how to reload. Just stick to the basics and ask a lot of questions. Don't over think it. You might just enjoy it all the more. :)

Congrats on the eagle sir! I had a reloading thread floating about if you're looking for powder/bullet recommendations you can find em here:
http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=971699
It started out with mainly bullets, but we digressed into powders and mag issues so it covers a lot. Hope you enjoy it sir, I'm having a blast with mine. Just remember to load the rounds hot hot HOT! :)

BAH!
That is exactly what started ME reloading too. I got a Deagle, ammo was $42.12 for a box of 50 Fiochi from Wally world. I was like, **** DAT! Imma hafta reload now...
So I sent my Deagle off to get Green and Black-Td (NOV-2010) and by the time it came back (APRIL 2011) I had a Lee Classic Turret that I had been practicing 9mm on. Started on the 44 mag and it was all downhill from there. Lots of fun AND by shooting 44 mag, I think the Turret is better, but the RC is still decent enough to make enough ammo that can be shot off in a day. You aint gonna wanna shoot 300 rounds a day I hope, I do about 20 or so when I go to the idoor range (cause I am anal about chasing down my brass and get all huffy when I am missing one or two) I will sit down and throw a tempertantrum and cry until I recover at least 99% of my brass. And then there are folks like Red Hemi that game me 5 Large plastic FOLGERS containers of Mixed 38/357/44/45LC and others all OF brass from his revolvers. I could not resist and gave him two boxes of .45 ACP (factory) for his efforts. He was not even expecting that, he just saw that I reloaded and offered me all his brass. Good thing because had I gone home and found that I had only recovered 95% of my brass, then there would be some issues that I would have to deal with... :\
heh.
Now start hunting down OF .44 mag brass on gunbroker... Once you got about 1k cases you are good to go for a while, and you WILL find more as you go.
OH damn. I am sorry, I misread your post. I thought you got a GUN. MAH bad, I did not know it was some sort of dessert. What is a dessert eagle? Is that like a bird shaped cake or something? Are they sweet? I want one if they are...

That's what I said, but apparently people didn't think it was funny.
Bing image search cleared up what a Dessert Eagle is:

Jokes aside BFG if you are a low volume shooter maybe 200 rounds or less and maybe just once a month per range trip then that RC will serve you well.

I like to shoot more, but not in .44 magnum. :-)
