Another fun auction -

Demilled by epoxy no less!!!

Why is it a semi-some questions here :)

So it sounds like they chopped the historical rifle up and had their own AK build party using the parts. It gets a resounding "Meh" from me. It isn't as bad as, say, a tomahawk from George Washington that has been in the family for generations, and had the handle replaced 3 times and the head replaced twice. But it is close.

$125k? Even for a museum, I think they are being pretty optimistic.

Beat me to it Capy. Awfully high starting price. Something on the order of 5K-10K seems more in line.

Yup you can see the receiver is a 74ULLC receiver. The price is a joke

Yes - the only thing that looks vaguely original is the wood - and original is a distortion of the truth, as it could be described as original and be one of several thousand he supplied, so he may have carried it, OK, great warrior, no - would a museum want it, who knows - not one I ran?

Ya, that's too high.
I've seen historical firearms from WWII go for less!

AKM with a plaque?

Pass.

Rather buy that 9mm case of ammo I posted.. and it's much cheaper!

Well, we all have to specially thank and commemorate what Charlie Wilson accomplished in Afghanistan. We have to admit he was a big part of making this model nation into a peaceful and prosperous society we all know and love today.

Ain't that legacy worth a piddly $125k?

I would buy it if it was Rambos AK.

They should have just left it alone. Adding the plaque is one thing but nothing else on that rifle looks original.
