Was wondering if it can be done or wise: Using a standard pinned A2 Front sight, tapping the pin holes placing windage screws, mounting on to SS Match Barrel.

(If yes) recommendations for windage screw; grades, metric or inch, thread count, size of threat hole etc... Also if it's smart to use for Service Match build for personal use on a serious budget since I burnt enough on all these parts.

Greatly appreciate any input for those who know based on hands on experience/seen it done before and not by google'ing the answer.

You can tap the original holes to 8-32 and then install that FSB on a barrel with the cuts specifically for setscrews.
Simply tapping the FSB and trying to use the same barrel will not work though as you need those flats for the screws to land on.
The original barrel will have the taper pin cut through the bottom of it right where the setscrew will land.
