I was on Remington's website and saw this new model. It come with a BC stock heavy varmint 26" barrel. They say it is set up for long range. Price is well below the Sendero. I have not been able to find any on the shelves, as a matter of fact none of the stores are able to get one yet. Well the shops I have gone in to. Galley of Guns has one just under $800.
Has anyone had the chance to handle or shoot one of these rifles? Sendero is out of my price range and the LR is right at the high end of my range so it really sparked my interest.

I Had the same stock (B&C M40A1 copy) and liked it. I'm glad Remington finally made a heavy barrel 30-06. There are others that are 150.00 or more cheaper then gallery of guns. Do some searching. I think it's a great rifle for the cost.

A factory Remington 700 with a heavy barrel with a B&C stock should work nicely. I think the Senderos are more expensive due to the stainless and HS Precision stock.

Finally!!!! I've been looking for a heavy barrel 30.06 for a while now. Now I can match ammo with my M1 Garand.

I'll think I'll pick one of these up when I get my tax return.

Local stores here in Utah have been selling those for $649-$699. $800 is too high.
