Carbine Gas System w/ 16" Barrel

What is the proper gas port size for a carbine length gas system w/ a 16 barrel? I am assuming there is a specific size or range of sizes that will keep a 16" barrel from "over-gassing" the system-- yeah?

.0625" seems to be common. I think Colt, DD, and BCM (possibly others) use that on both their 14.5" and 15" carbine length barrels.
