I don’t see loads listed for IMR 4227 on the IMR website anymore, just H4227.

Has IMR 4227 been discontinued? Are they the same (IMR 4227, H4227)?

I have some powder from ~2003 and wanted to use it in a 454 revolver.

Any information appreciated.

Thanks,

They are close enough for all but max loads --
For cases like the hornet and bee you can't get enough in the case to matter. --

re-work your loads. The H powders are said to be more temperature stable, they lump them in with varget.
