So if SB 374 goes through could I jus rivet my mag to the lower in order to make my AR a non detachable magazine and avoid SB 374 and having to register it as an AW? If so where on the reciever is a good location to place the rivet?

I have an idea on this that will have no changes to the rifle at all, just to the mag. But I hesitate to describe it at this point.
Don't want to give the wrong people any ideas before the law is signed.....

How would you load your AR?

BTW - you CAN'T clear a jam by opening the top when the bolt is stuck out of battery and you have a cartridge sticking out of the chamber. How will you deal with that if the mag is pinned or welded on?

There are many less destructive ways to make the magazine fixed. Top loaders were common in the early days of OLLs.

AR-15, rather than attach the mag why not just drill out the gas block parallel to the barrel, it would not function as a semi auto.

I still have two top loaders, haven't used them since 07

Bill is already going to Jerry...nothing you say now will affect how the bill is put into law if not VETO'd.

So Call Jerry all week this week...Plenty of time for workarounds for the AR

Not a 'loose lips' thing; let's just wait for JB's decision; we don't need 50 threads about 374.

Please spend your time communicating with the Governor encouraging a veto.
