Agree, they gotta pay for the privilage of selling in CA. It even gets down to the model number, same gun one in SS and one blued different model numbers. If they only pay and go through the nose bleed for one, that's the only one you can buy.

as of now the only legal ones to sell as new guns to non-LEOs are the ones that on the list. AFAIK no maker has managed to put a mag disconnect on a 1911 yet so no new 1911s can be submitted unless they can pull a Glock-21SF to argue under similarity clause.
