I have a Troy-308 handguard, and was wondering if anyone knew offhand what barrel nut wrench would work on this since it comes with Troy's barrel nut? Would the standard DMPS 308 barrel nut wrench work?

Thanks,

I installed a Troy BattleRail TRX-308 on a 308 rifle and IIRC I used a standard AR15 DPMS wrench to secure the nut. Yours is probably the same.

Hmm. I have a TRX wrench and the .308 side is bigger than the AR-15 side, so I'm not sure how you got that to work. When I tried it on my TRX 308 barrel nut, the AR-15 side of the wrench was definitely too small.

Troy TRX Extreme BattleRail was the type I installed and the type the OP is mentioning might just need the proprietary wrench. I don't remember needing anything special.
I may be wrong about the barrel nut wrench.
Brownell's or Midway should have what is needed in any case.

Thanks, I'll give it a try when I get back. Just didn't want to start and then have to wait to order the correct wrench.
