Hey Guys-

Just wondering if anyone has converted a 20rd Lahti mag to successfully feed in a PSL rifle. PSL mags are hard to find so I'd like to look into some other options that I can use in Free America.

From the looks of it, to use a Lahti mag, you need a donor PSL mag in order to supply the feed lips, or you need to make extensive modifications to the Lahti mag.

Probably cheaper and easier just to track down more PSL mags.

I made a tutorial about fitting them to the PSL. Rather than re-posting, look here: http://www.militaryfirearm.com/Forum/showthread.php?27533-Fitting-Lahti-Solantra-Mags-to-a-PSL

Using the method above I got my first mag to hand cycle 9 of 10 rounds, still working on a better mod for the rear of the feed ramp. Getting them to lock in to the receiver is very easy, getting them to feed all the rounds is the challenge (last round is always the worst because of the rim). Even though it is a 20 round mag for the 7.62x53r it's tough to get more than 13 of 54r in one without more modification.

It's cheaper to modify dragonov mags at this point. Tutorial is on akfiles I believe.
