I know K-mart used to sell guns but was wondering if anyone knew if they still sold ammo post-Columbine? Or have they just turned into 'Target' when it comes to real sporting goods?

store locater:
http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/StoreLocatorView?storeId=10151&catalogId=10104&langId=-1&adCell=A2

some stores I see are:

Burbank, ca
Temple City
Commerce
Cudahy
Los Angeles
Hacienda Heights
West Covina
Bellflower

Costa Mesa
Anahiem
Long Beach
Diamond Bar
Harbor City

I don't think I've seen ammo at any kmarts. But then again I've not been looking. I've just used Wal-Mart as my ammo source.

Check here (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=72100&highlight=wal+mart) for a large listing of So Cal Wal-Mart ammo availability.

I used to buy a lot of 22 and 12ga ammo from K-mart back-in-the-day, but I don't think they sell ammo anymore.
I tried to buy ammo there a few times a few years ago and after several failed attempts to buy ammo, I sorta quit going to K-mart.
Walmart has ammo and that's where I ended up going for other things as well that I probably could have gotten from K-mart.
Funny thing is that I have to drive past K-mart to get to Walmart...

My local KMart has a small selection of rifle ammo like 12ga birdshot, .308 and .30-06, but no handgun ammo.

Not that it does you any good, but last year I visited a K-Mart in Pennsylvania that sold ammo AND long guns. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Most Kmarts sell ammo but the pricing is nothing to write home about. Way higher than Walmart...

In I think 1995 I actually bought a Rem 870 for $199 from K-Mart. I also bought my first Marlin 60 22LR for $49 back in the day from them (1970ish).

They had the best prices and were really local/easy to get to.

Sadly now they have become China-Mart. And since the people in China are not allowed to own guns then so be that China-Mart has banned their sale.:D

Actually I think K-marts policy began when Rosie O'donnell bushwacked Tom Selleck on her T.V. show some time ago. She attacked his connection to the NRA and his supporters pointed out she had a strong relationship with K-mart. As I recall, she pressured them to stop selling guns and ammo. That plus current events eventually led to them removing both from their shelves. I would be upset, but K-mart is just about extinct anyway.

Kmart stopped selling handgun ammo due to Michael Moore. In "Bowling for Columbine" he went to Kmart's corp. headquarters with some of the Columbine victims. The Col. killers bought their ammo from Kmart. On camera, the day after Moore went there, Kmart announced they would no longer stock handgun ammo.

Boo. Let's see them stop stocking kitchen knives because of all the "knife crime" too.

Can anyone actually name the K marts that do sell ammo? I know San Ysidro stopped.
