i have a sporterized 1903 the serial number 943xxx just past the bad reciver era and the bolt also has the slight backward sweep indicating its all good....i hope the gun has no sights front or rear. i want to bring it back to to it original state i.e military style stock and sight all bands etc. anyone know any good web sights where i can start my search?

Sights, Stock, barrel bands and maybe butt plate -- It might be cheaper to just buy one that is still as issued --

I have never been disappointed with their parts.

Is the barrel cut down (very common for sporters)? Also has it been drilled and tapped for a scope?

Photos would really help here.

Depending on what has been done to it, it may or may not be restorable.

Another consideration is the barrel date, if it is still there and legible. An original WW1 barrel on a restorable rifle might justify the extra effort and expense to return it to WW1 configuration, but if it was rebarreled for WW2 you have a lot more leeway with which parts to use, such as a Ww2 stock.
