I Googled, but it looks like most or all are gone :-( I'm looking for boots, fatigues/BDUs, etc. for hiking, nothing crazy.

What about that one on PCH in Newport Beach at the HB city border with the sand buggy chained in front of the store?

Haven't been there in a while, but Stevens creek surplus in San Jose used to have all that stuff.

Stars & Stripes Surplus in El Cajon is great too. Employees there are really friendly. It's just a few minutes away from GI Joes.

What are you looking for specifically. I can probably help you find it at a much more reasonable price than surplus stores. Shoot me a pm with sizes etc.

The dude's waxed stache' which is about 2 feet wide and his triple rattail combo are a thing to behold. He was on Lords of War selling an enormous blunderbuss not too long ago. That being said, they are very well stocked and are super nice.

The "Cammoes" booth at Kobey's usually has the best selection if you don't mind a lot of non-surplus type stuff (purple camo.. etc).. but they do bring out some proper surplus cases, ammo cans, belts, packs, holsters and camo netting.

Cammoes is good people.

No interest in some of their stuff, but .30 cans (PERFECT condition with PERFECT gaskets) are $7 OTD. I think .50 cans are $9 OTD. If you buy 10 or more they will reduce the cost. Email (and negotiate) in advance to ensure they have enough cans on hand to get what you need.
