Newb checking in.
I'm somewhat new to guns, but I think I'm hooked.
I've handled/ shot various guns (G17, XD40 9mm, a couple shotguns) over the past few years but more recently wanted my own.
Just picked up my first pistol. It's a Beretta 92FS M9A1.

I took it out yesterday and had a blast hitting targets at 10-15 yards.
I'm now looking into building an AR15.
Just here to read, learn and hopefully contribute later on. :driving:

Thanks for the welcome, guys!
RJ, I'm pretty happy with the way everything went when I bought the Beretta.
I was going to get a G17. But, they were out of them and they couldn't tell me when they'd get more in. I considered the XD but liked the sexiness of the 92 more. :D
I'm taking my pops to Iron Sights next weekend.

It is very sexy for sure! Ive been hitting BLM land, cheaper that way and I can shoot longer ranges with the rifles and skeet with the shotguns.

I went with the M9, so the lady is less comfortable holding it... :)
I love Beretta 92 series!
Is the M9A1 an aluminum lower receiver, or plastic?
WELCOME!

Welcome aboard! Be careful about building the AR, it gets addicting!

It's certainly not plastic/ polymer.

Thank you!
It will be my first build. I've got a good friend that's built a couple that I'm going to have help assemble mine when it's all ready.
Wanting to go .308 for badassness, but it seems it starts getting a whole lot more expensive when you move up from the .223.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys!
